Two photos from yesterday afternoon when I came back into the patio after shooting some dogwood blossom photos and saw my favorite "couple" side-by-side at the very dirty patio door (dog snot & dirt, yuck!).  My female yellow lab just tolerates most other dogs, but loves Stewie.  He thinks she is his "girlfriend".  Thank goodness both were fixed long before they met.  Hate to think of what the puppies might have looked like.

Starry Night in paper collage by lower school students at a local school I am volunteering at today. This school's art program never ceases to amaze me. Even my art loathing daughter created some wonderful pieces when she attended here years ago.

New leaves starting to emerge from their buds on a small tree at a local park the other day.  Part of a small series of this tree.  I will post the others later.

Another of the emerging leaves from buds from last week at the park. Yes, the focus is suppose to be this way (I had someone say it was wrong on the last one, what an idiot, as it was intentional to do an abstract artistic photo! Otherwise, it would just be another boring straightforward photo!).  I am an artistic photographer! That comment once I translated it really pissed me off.  Look at someone's portfolio and background prior to telling someone they did it wrong. Comment has been deleted and person blocked. Needed to get that off my chest.  If you don't like something, just don't say anything!

VERY PROUD MOM HERE - My son's Capstone project was nominated by his Capstone Project and English teacher yesterday for a prestigious Capstone Award at his high school.  While we will not know whether or not he is in the top 10 and in the running for the award for a few weeks, just to be nominated at his school (which is one of the top public high schools in Ohio) is quite an accomplishment.  I would also like to thank fellow photographer +Jennifer Tonapi who mentored Erik throughout this school year on his project.  His photography (and writing skills) have grown throughout the school year, and he plans on studying art and photography  in college.  If you are interested in a copy of the book, and it is a wonderful book, here is the link.

As much as I love flowers and flower photos, I was really happy to be able to get out to a local park after work yesterday and shoot some nature macros/abstracts like this dried grapevine and other dried plants.  I will share a few more of the nature photos from yesterday in the coming days.

WARNING - FLOWERING TREE OVERLOAD - several of the crabapples, and one ornamental cherry tree were in full bloom at the park yesterday afternoon.  So am posting a whole bunch of the photos I shot of them.  All are SOOC.  Needless to say the park smelled wonderful.

They did smell wonderful yesterday +Terrill Welch I really enjoy it when the crabapples bloom. Bradford Pear trees not so much, as they stink, but are really beautiful to look at.

Introduction
I am an artist/photographer with a BFA from Wittenberg University.  I work in a number of different styles and mediums.  I paint, draw, photograph, knit, and sometimes make jewelry. I also deal with my three dogs, teenage son, grown daughter, wonderful boyfriend, a rabbit and some goldfish in our patio pond in addition to working full-time in an insurance related field. I also enjoy in my spare time going fishing with my boyfriend and like to travel with him too.
