I could not decide is this story fit in Economics or Food and Cooking
When you think of cartels, maybe you think of drugs, maybe you think of oil. But what probably doesn't come to mind? Swiss cheese.

"Nobody can soldier without coffee," a Union cavalryman wrote in 1865. Hidden Kitchens looks at three American wars through the lens of coffee: the Civil War, Vietnam and Afghanistan.

General Discussion  -

I do my best to drink locally brewed beers. I admit I do sometimes slip and buy something that would not fall in to that category. Here are a few reasons why I prefer local beer: 1. support local business and my local economy. 2. reduces the amount of shipping required to get the beer in liquid form to me. 3. local craft brews are often more adventurous in the styles and flavors they produce. How do you define Craft beer? What are your reason for being a fan of craft beer?
A brewery—craft or global—aims to sell beer and then sell some more. What’s selling now is what big global brewers will brew and/or acquire.

Nice cheap gambling. Hash House a go go might be the best deal for quality food on the strip.

Sinking Ship is a local bar with good food that is not in a tourist location. They have 8 beer taps that change constantly which feature local craft beer and unique offerings from further afar. They provide a wide range of food offerings including vegan, vegetarian, and carnivorous dishes. I miss the mini corn dogs and 1/2 off burger days but that will not stop me from making this place a regular stop for me.
