Funny how just riding around and looking at things was a regular form of entertainment, even in the early days of television.

May is warm colors and bright flowers and more sunshine as every day grows longer. The collection of art, greeting cards and gifts in my May 2017 Feline Sampler welcomes the outdoors in a vase of flowers, through the windows and in the garden.

Apparently I find waking up amid morning feline activity pretty funny because that's inspired multiple cartoons. My felines will gladly have breakfast though. See all four, available as prints and note cards. http://portraitsofanimals.net/saturday-morning-cartoons-ca…/

They told me that just days before Patches died, even though she was weak and declining quickly, one evening she climbed up on the back of the couch, sat up and gently touched the glass over Cooper’s face in the portrait, looked at him for a short while, then carefully got down.

It's been a difficult week in rescue. The harder you work to save cats, the more cats there seem to be, and in worse conditions and health. You can't save all the starfish on the beach, but saving none is not an option. Saving even one life is a blessing.
