Remember when Dept. of Veterans Affairs and DAV claimed most veterans were satisfied with their health care? Apparently that was a load of BS... according to new DAV survey ‪#‎oops‬ http://bit.ly/1m6c3L9
The new DAV survey, called the Veterans Pulse Survey, confirmed suspicions of veterans that at least half of the veterans surveyed are not satisfied with the health care services they receive from the government. This is contrary to earlier claims by the Department of Veterans Affairs when they tried to gut Veterans Choice.

Just when things can't get any weirder, you find out the old head of VA OIG was serially masturbating in an all glass conference room at work hoping people would watch... http://bit.ly/1OPuxLJ

VA employees caught sleeping on the job and having sex with each other - get slap on the wrist - whistleblowers fighting for veterans get terminated for reporting misconduct... http://bit.ly/1N5HeiS
There is no VA accountability for some VA employees reprimanded for misconduct while whistleblowers were terminated for trying to improve patient care.

VA doctor and profiteer makes $400 million profit after selling hepatitis C cure to company now selling it back to VA with a huge profit margin... http://bit.ly/1MXyWJL
Atlanta - Inventor of hepatitis C cure worked as a VA doctor when he invented the drug that now sells for $1,000 per pill. It only costs $16 to make.

What do you get when you mix stodgy bureaucrats and a penchant for manipulating data in a fraudulent scheme? A waitlist.

Hercules McDonald to the rescue... http://bit.ly/1PqkDBc
Leaked emails indicate some employees at New Mexico VA are likely cooking the books at the facility by manipulating old appointments to make them look new – similar to the Phoenix VA waitlist.

Watch out for dirty surgical equipment at your local VA. Ann Arbor VA and Minneapolis VA have both been bit by that snake this year... http://bit.ly/1P9zTlV
Dirty surgical equipment at Michigan’s Ann Arbor VA caused the health care system to cancel surgeries for a week. The dirt got into the system because of a water break, supposedly.

One VA nurse's aide is charged with manslaughter for beating a an elderly patient to death. "Accountability" means he got paid vacation for one week to "recover" from the stress of beating an old man and is still working at VA... http://bit.ly/1M6tAZ2
After two years, one VA employee charged with beating a 70-year old veteran to death is still working at the Alexandria VA, in Louisiana, after VA absolved the nurse’s aide of wrongdoing.

Now in a form of mental 'masturbation', the VA deputy secretary just told Congress that VA should redefine 'accountability' and that firing dysfunctional employees is no biggie. http://bit.ly/1IGgyqc

Quite an unbelievable scam VA is running against veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury... http://bit.ly/1YVN3Vw
Veterans are being denied compensation and health care benefits based on inferior traumatic brain injury testing like RBANS to erroneously justify denials.

Not cool at all. Sadly, I have heard of similar things happening at other VA hospitals.

Wow, apparently these two corrupt VA executives prevailed using their Due Process Rights. I wonder how many veterans they screwed out of the same? http://bit.ly/1SCNX5j
VA failure to competently persecute a relatively clear fraud claim against Diana Rubens and Kim Graves has resulted in a reversal of VA’s recent decision to demote the women.

No amount of scrutiny can apparently encourage Tomah VAMC to keep its nose clean. A recent leak shows 20% of Tomah's healthcare policies are expired. Some have been outdated since 2012, which include care policies for high risk patients...
http://bit.ly/1NpH5s0
Despite the scandal investigations, Tomah VA still failed to update its 63 expired healthcare policies that put veterans lives at risk every day. How can they keep screwing this up?

Patient abuse and poor morale at Tomah VA resulted in VA announcing a second improvement plan. Will this one do the trick or is it more smoke? http://bit.ly/1RfW6OT
Tomah VA confirmed allegations of patient abuse the same day it pushed out a release to national press that it is starting a new facility improvement plan for the second time.

Veterans must redeem the promise of a Square Deal.
Introduction

Benjamin Krause is a veteran of the Department of Veterans Affairs wars. The wars started when the Veterans Administration was created in 1943 and has bridged across numerous decades and conflicts. Krause has 10 years of service in these new wars after being honorably discharged from the military. Krause has extensive training in investigative journalism and the law. He has met with politicians locally and in Washington DC only to conclude that the deck is stacked against veterans in this new era of doublespeak. "Don't get caught up in the trivial details of the VA. Get your benefits and move on."

Krause currently writes on DisabledVeterans.org and resides in Minnesota.

Bragging rights
While in law school, Benjamin Krause won a settlement against he VA worth over $150,000. This makes him the one of the most effective advocates, while a student, at the University of Minnesota Law School.
