Hi everyone! I've just finished an early draft of a new mini-RPG, "Wannabe Wizards!" It's a comedy game about regular folk who out of boredom try to learn some real magic, and accidentally unleash a terrible doom which they now have two hours to rectify by assembling the components of a mighty ritual. I am working on a rewrite as I've already received some good feedback, but if anyone here would like to take a look let me know and I will send you a copy.

Hi all - and I guess especially +Mark Diaz Truman! I am finally MCing my own Urban Shadows game, and I'm looking to see if there are versions of the playbooks resized for A4? I had a search here in the community and there were a few posts mentioning this from last year, and as it's really hard to get US paper sizes here in Australia, I'm hoping there's been some movement on that!

Thanks all. Looking forward to posting here more now I'm finally getting a game in!

Been googling this without much luck, so here we go: can a character use the magical energy points gained from Harness Magic (rank 4 Arcana spell) to cast spells from their Wizard's grimoire? Harness Magic says you can cast "a spell you know", while the Grimoire feature seems to differentiate its spells from regular ones, which it refers to as "spells you have learned to cast". I can see it going either way and it doesn't make a big difference until you're out of castings, but I figured I'd see if there was an official decision!

Oh, a related question: can you combine a wizard's spell points with the energy points from Harness Magic? For example, if you only had one spell point left, and one energy point left, could you spend them both in order to cast a rank 2 spell?

Hi everyone! About to start my first game of SotDL; I'm not a fan of the official character sheets though. Anyone know of any alternative ones, maybe with a bit more of a traditional layout?

After going on ABC1's 7.30 program to talk about D&D, I realised I had a lot more to say to people who were curious but had never played. So I wrote this article! Let me know what you think.

Today on the Pop Up Playground blog I talk about possibly my favourite game we've ever run at the Fresh Air festival: Little Monsters' Big Day Out! Created by Sayraphim Lothian and Grant Howitt, with amazing props by Jelli Bat, it really beams joy straight into your brain through the medium of tiny monsters. Plus it's a great example of the kind of game that can only exist in an environment like the Fresh Air festival, which is why we're crowdfunding additional funding to make the festival bigger and better.

Hey all - I've just pressed the big green GO button on my new Kickstarter campaign to fund Night Terrace, an original sci-fi comedy audio series! It stars Neighbours' Jackie Woodburne as a woman who used to save the world but now wanted to retire. Unfortunately her house starts to travel through space and time, and she's forced to have adventures with a door-to-door electricity salesman named Eddie. (Guess who I'm playing?)

It's a really exciting project, and I'd love you to check it out. My co-producers, co-writers and co-stars are the lovely people behind my live Doctor Who podcast Splendid Chaps, including John Richards (co-creator of ABC1 sit-com Outland), plus Lee Zachariah of The Bazura Project and The Hamster Wheel fame!
