Bike went very well. A little bit of pulsating coming from the front fork under heavy braking which was expected.
Gear ratio of 32/18 suited the course nicely although it only had 80m elevation over each 8.5km lap. A standard XC would have over 130m at least so I think a 32/20 would be a better standard cog.
Picked up the frame cheap (like carton of beer cheap). So went about obtaining bits from around the place and came up with this.
For those who know the issues with the sliding dropouts of the Rigs I have swapped out the tensioner bolts with hardened ones and modified the QR skewer so it doesn't hit the frame, allowing the axle to seat correctly. Hope that's enough.
- Fallout Shelter
After this short stint in the desert I was moved back to Townsville where I was to spend my life until 1999 when I decided to move down to the Sunshine Coast where I have lived since.
My education consists of 12 years of Primary and High schooling, 3 years of tertiary and another 4 years of apprenticeships.
I have worked since leaving high school with a few breaks for further education and periods of on-the-job training.
I still have close ties with my friends in Townsville while my immediate family resides with me on the Sunshine coast.
That's it, boring bio done.
