I Think I Just Threw Up a Little...
Anyone else tired of new #1 issues, "All-New" things, and constant revision of the status quo?  Anyone else want a stable Marvel Universe focused on storytelling and character?  Anyone else frustrated by the endless parade of "events?"  Anyone else just flat-out tired?

It's not even so much crossover events, but those have a place. They are for the summer and they should be handled in annuals and just be fun side stories, not poorly written cataclysms that change 50 years of continuity. And if be fine with a reboot. The last 15 years of Marvel, except for dinner shining points, have rocked the universe so that very little is terribly familiar. I loved most of the Ultimate Universe, until they ran out of ideas. I think we need one reset. One set of number ones to set a status quo, and then write some fun stories and go from there. It's like they list what this is about since the bubble popped in the nineties.

Ugh, I'm just shy of forty, but this all makes me feel like a crabby old man.

#SaveConstantine
Hey, everybody!  Check this out and on Thursday tweet @CW_Network with the hashtag #Constantine .  Out of the ashes of NBC's Constantine, a new, better Constantine may be born with the ability to easily crossover and mix within CW's DC-verse!
NBC might have passed on bringing back Constantine for a second season, but the show still has a [...]

Do you know that if Constantine pulled the same ratings on CQ that it pulled on NBC, it'd be the most watched show on the CW? That's cable benchmarks for ya...

Art for Sale!

Just put every page I drew traditionally for Lauren Beukes & I’s Sensation Comics Wonder Woman story (from issue 9) up on eBay. Most likely the last time I draw a comic traditionally since I draw completely digitally now, but you never know.

Honestly not looking to make a mint off these, would be happy if they all just sold.

Yours Truly Reviewed the Last Fantastic Four
Issue 645 is supposedly the "last" issue of the series.  Knowing how death works in comics, I don't quite believe that.  Still, is this a good ending?  Take a read and see.

Yeah, quotes probably are appropriate for the word 'final'. Nothing is ever over for good in comics :)

Congrats!
A buddy o' mine (you know who you are) just welcomed a new addition to his family and I just want to wish him the best.  He's a good pal and that little one couldn't ask for a better pappy.

Worth a Look
I read Jill Lepore's article and am very thankful to +The Mary Sue for covering G. Willow Wilson's response.  Lepore's article was utter drivel and it's nice to see an erudite response to it.

Yeah if they want to bitch about them looking like porn stars, direct them to Jim Lee's work. This cover is dialed down tremendously compared to his stuff. But - perhaps having so many boobs on one page is bringing attention to it because people only want 1-2 pairs of boobs on a page at a time.

I'm loving that they went back to Dazzler's classic look. It was always the best. They got stupid with her character and took the life out of it.

A Serious Biography of an Important Figure in Comic Form?
Color me intrigued.  It's not often you see something like this (at least in my experience).  I'd actually be interested to pick this up.

So I've written and drawn a full-length, full-color biography of Edward Snowden. It comes out in late August, and if you were to pre-order it you'd be doing me a huge favor because it would help create buzz for it. Not to mention, it's got information never revealed elsewhere, it provides a clear overview of the various NSA programs, and it's got pretty color art.
Publication Date: August 18, 2015 Pre-Order Now at Amazon! As many as 1.4 million citizens with security clearance saw some or all of the same documents revealed by NSA contractor Edward Snowden. Why did he, and no one else, decide to step forward and take on the risks associated with becoming a whistleblower and then […]

If that premise intrigues you, check out Logicomix. It's equal parts Logic 101, and biography of Bertrand Russell.

Was The Avengers Really That Good?
Don't answer the question, watch the video.  The video actually takes an interesting and intelligent look at the movie and asks that very question.  I found myself agreeing with and enjoying a lot of this fella's (Bob Chipman) observations.
