Excellent food: nuanced flavors and refined textures. You can taste the chef's care and precision in the food. Fresh, local ingredients cooked to perfection. Modern, chic ambience with a terrasse area for summer. And it's BYO. What more could you want? Update 1 year later - April 27, 2013 - Still fantastic. Brought a group of 10 friends for dinner on a Sat night. Every single one of them was wowed. This is Montreal's best kept secret.

This ain't the three amigos... this is real, authentic, gourmet Mexican food at excellent prices. The tasting menu was amazing. Chicken molé, prawns in a creamy cilantro sauce, pork in a tamarind sauce, melt-in-your-mouth rice (I'm sure there was butter in it :). Everything here is made from scratch and the fantastic smells hit you the moment you open the door. I had a great margarita and guac too. When you pay your bill at the cash register, you will walk through a gourmet store stocked with authentic Mexican groceries and desserts, just in case you have any room left in your tummy (doubtful). The décor is cantina style, so more of a casual date atmosphere. The service was a bit spotty but they were very busy. The waiters really know their food though. If you're going on a Friday/Saturday, make a reservation. We got lucky because we went on a Fri night at 7pm, but we got the last table.

Best place in Montreal if you have a Cairn Terrier or Westie that needs to be stripped versus shaved.
