Funnily enough, wanting something really bad isn't enough, even when it comes to money. But I see people continuing to fall in the trap of believing that willpower alone will get them to their goals. Quit hoping for a miracle and start using the tools that will actually help you get where you want to be. If saving X amount every month is a goal, set up an automatic transfer. Don't force yourself to remake that decision every single month. It's like being on a diet and walking past the doughnut shop every day. It's not required that you tempt yourself to to fail.
No matter how much discipline you think you have, automating good financial behavior will probably lead to more success than sheer willpower.
