I am in the black hole of shawl knitting.... the garter stitch section. 15 more rows to go then onto the cable, rib, short row section.

Do you need to graft a set of live stitches together? Perhaps for a sock or shoulder straps or in my case the bottom of a purse. This is a great video tutorial on the Kitchener Stitch.

My Rose City Roller sock. So far so good. Had a little bit of a tension issue with the gusset but the #2s  are way better than the 3s. I have some 1s now that I may try for my next sock.
Questions for ya'll.
Is there a difference between toe up and cuff down insofar as the end result?
I want to make a sock with a pattern. Anybody have a suggestion for one that you have tired and it would work for a beginner? +Christina Blount Suggestions? Thanks guys!

My current sock adventure. Using size 2s this time. I think I am hooked on socks.
My Comfy cardi is just not working out. I think it's just the wrong yarn. So for now I am a sock making fool!
Oh this is a free pattern

Very fun read!

It might require a bit of a sassy attitude, btw. But I’m sure with my coaching and plenty of practice you can be a snarky in-public stitcher!
To knit and crochet in public, and enjoy yourself, requires the right project, the right stuff, and the right attitude.

First I would like to say that the salon itself was beautiful. The other stylist may have been better. Lacy, however, was not. First she did not seem excited that I was there. She was very down and seemed to be more excited about getting off work than coloring my hair. She even made comments about how she was going to be happy about the day being over. That's fine, I get it, folks have bad days. If that was it and my hair was amazing I would consider going back. This was not the case. She did not spend much time cutting my hair. I have had more time spent at Cost Cutters and they are on a time limit. She even told me that she didn't think that layering my hair was a good idea. Gave me and excuse that my hair was thin... I felt like she just did not want to take the time to cut and texturize my hair. The color! Oh my! I went to dinner after and my date pointed out that I had color in my ear. I went to the bathroom and the inside of my ear was black! This is totally unacceptable to me. As I took a good look at my hairline it was also black. I don't make that much of a mess when I color it myself. I am not sure if she is just unprofessional, having a bad day, hates her job or what. Leaving that much color on a person is just not okay and does not meet the standard of a quality salon. Perhaps this was because I bought a package through groupon? I would think that the goal of a groupon sale would be to build clients. If you leave color in my ear to the point that the entire inside is black and leave color on my hairline do not expect a call back. The other stylists may be much better and definitely seemed happier. So go to the salon, see anyone but Lacy and you will be golden!!!

The website to upload printing was slow and did not sent my job to the store. When I called the store the guy told me that google sucks and I cannot use my drive to upload files. When I asked him why my job did not send he said I don't know. He said that he could not help me. Educate your employees please! I have emailed you a job in the past and there was no issue.
