@ATT @ATTCustomerCare miserable #Fail . Refuses to provide support for down POTS dialtone line.@ATTCares? not.

Reference Number: 724049784617499092
DATE/TIME: 2016-06-27 09:45:21

Currently, I am at a property where there is no mobile coverage, just CLEC/3rd party internet, and POTS dialtone. The POTS dialtone line is down, and has no service.

aThe ONLY way I have to reach support is via their website's chat function.

"uVerse Home Phone service" refused to help.

I even resorted to begging them to file a trouble/support ticket, using their support chat.

They refused.

Here is the, now redacted, transcript.

{PS- IMHO- AT&T is a dim, shameful shadow of Bellsouth's former excellence.
PSS- I skipped a lengthy backstory where they botched two concurrent landline set ups on two separate properties, then sent me to collections because they misdirected the billing statements. That took a day and a half to resolve, requiring the intervention of the corporate offices. }

Table Rock Mountain Get Away Vacation Rental Cabin!

Our hot tub faces the cliff of Table Rock Mountain and our neighborhood is nearly across the street from the Table Rock State Park recreational area with swimming lakes, 1000's of acres of trails, and views and more views. If you ride motorcycles, you will be thrilled to know we are 1 block down SC11 from Aunt Sue's Cafe, the community hub, and popular gathering place for tourists, especially ones on two wheels, with/or without an engine!

We have a two car garage for your toys, a master on the main, an upstairs loft living area with two more beds and a bathroom. We have all the comforts of home, gas range, fridge, microwave, washer/dryer.

Large balconies on the front and back, and we bought the 4 acres behind the cabin to make sure you will always enjoy your privacy when dipping in that hot tub!

Another perk is that it is a practically level walk from the car/garage into the house, just one or two small steps and you are in. Makes for easy packing and unpacking!

So come and enjoy yourself, unwind!

We will provide directTV "Cable" TV. There is very good coverage for Verizon here. Hopefull you can use the hotspot on your phone for internet, since noone provides any sort of internet access to the neighborhood. Anyone who has used Hughes Satellite internet will know that we would go broke if we turned their service on in the cabin.. just a few gigs a month before they assess huge overage fees. So, we made an "executive decision".. no Hughes. Besides, most gadgets these days include the ability to use your device as a HotSpot, and it should be included in your data plan thanks to a federal ruling a few years back.. so just ask your mobile provider how to use it, and you are good to go!

RT @seprr Sign the petition against the Yulin Dog Meat Festival https://t.co/WzND2lrkvc
Thousands of dogs, many of them stolen pets, are captured and transported over long distances under horrific conditions. Once in Yulin, a city in China's Guangxi province, they’re held in crowded cages without food or water until they are killed. Often, they are beaten and their throats are slit in front of other terrified animals.

Hurried service, average food, and the buffet is about what you would get in low-end government commissary. The building is super amazing. I used to go here as a kid, back when it was worth going to eat here. These days, you can't even get them to mix your blueberries into a pancake.. they will only put them on top of the pancake, not mixed inside. I tried to bribe the manager $20 to mix them in, she refused. Also, this is one of those places with a menu that you can't get eggs, pancake, and a meat all in one order.. you have to go a la carte to get either the eggs or the pancake. This is a typical way to increase ticket price. Avoid this place. Besides.. it's always packed with tourists who walk by from their hotels, and who apparently have not found better places to eat, of which there are several other places much better.

A truly great place to have breakfast and lunch. It's one of the few breakfast places that has a combo with eggs, pancakes, and meat (bacon/sausage/countyham/cityham) all for about $7. Really good quality ingredients, and you can pick whatever you want to go ON or INSIDE your pancake. There is a certain pancake house on Airport Road who will not mix blueberries into a pancake, for any price. I offered the manager $20 to do it, they refused. At Little House of Pancakes, you will never have that problem. ever. Also, they have great coffee, french toast, and the lunches are good too. All very fairly priced, and the service is unusually good for the area.

Since the early 80's, our family has owned two weeks in July at this time share resort. Normally, we have been reasonably happy with the resort. So it is with some regret that I write this scathing review. Before the really negative report, please know that if you stay here you MUST drive to and from the resort. The Trolley does NOT service the resort. Parking is problematic in Gatlinburg, and traffic doubly so. Being forced to use your car in this area is real consideration. Also, if you are not comfortable with steep roads hair pin turns, pass on this location. The weeks before, during, and after July 4th are the busiest weeks in the summer Gatlinburg resort market. Why would anyone ever schedule onerous and loud projects during peak season , especially when it is not emergency work? Today, since 8am on a Tuesday, we have had Yellow Tape out in front of our unit. Hammers banging away. Drills hammering through concrete. Workmen clanging. All of this right outside my door. The sign attached to the yellow tape blocking access to our unit said for residents not to use the elevator. Let's hope noone is handicapped on the upper floors, since that is the only ADA access to the upper floors. But that is not all. My unit is at the end of the A building. The C Building was under construction on Sunday, yes, Sunday. The C & A building are next to one another, and the units under construction were on the end of the building next to A, so we could hear saws ripping wood, drills, and I think we even heard a hammer drill or jack hammer. Monday, seven or eight parking spaces in front of A building, most of the parking, were taped off, preventing access and use for most of the day to those units, 4 floors of units. On other fronts, when I arrived at the resort, I had trouble even accessing the room. I always arrive After Hours, and there is a After Hours lock box service to gain your room key. This year, the 3rd party call center had no record of my arrival, and therefore did not have a key. It turns out, after finding another number to call into the system, that they were able to find a person who works at the resort who had not been at work in several days, who answered the call from her second job. She was able to let me into the lock box, and sure enough my key was in the box. The resort staff simply had not given that information to the answering service. The staff member who was on call that night, July 5th, was not answering her phone. So, it was dumb luck that Kayla answered her phone when she was not even On Call, and she at work at her second job. If she had not answered, I would have had to seek a hotel room elsewhere at 11:45pm with a cooler full of food that would have spoiled by morning unless the hotel room had a refrigerator. As for the unit itself, the furnishings in the living room have not been updated in about a decade, maybe longer. The dining room table has a leg that will collapse and send the entire table to the floor. The coffee table has a similar problem, so don't put your feet up on it, or rest anything more than the weight of a magazine. The sliding glass doors are in poor repair, and look to be about 30 years old, and do not securely shut. You can hear the traffic from all those fun loving & adventuresome Harley Davidson riders going by on the road, just below the entire stretch of the A & C buildings. Leaving the resort, you are taking you life into your own hands since the driveway is a very steep and access the road from the inside of a blind hairpin turn. There was a fish eye mirror across the street, but since last year, someone has customized it with gun shots. Gives a very homey, Mountain feel.

If you like flashy, modern, crowded places, this is for YOU! Good luck parking. I recommend using the valet.. if you are not in a hurry. The trolley is a good option.
