Awful doesn't begin to describe waking up to bedbugs and finding out that you are allergic to them. Our one nights stay has cost me almost $400.00 in two weeks for medications and creams to treat the over 200 bites that I received in one nights stay at this place! Worse than that it was reported to the front desk at check out but was never addressed and we have yet to hear back from anyone despite the multiple phone calls that I have made trying to get answers! So that means that even after it was reported they were still allowing guest to stay in this room and ignore that there was even a problem. We had to throw away everything of ours that was not washable! To keep from possibly infesting our own home imagine what might happen to the ones that have been staying there since then clueless to the bugs. I would not have even given one star but to rate and review at all you have to. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life just wish there was a way to post pictures of all these horrible bites i have!

I first visited this resort for a conference 3 years ago, and was somewhat satisfied with my accommodations. I returned with my family a couple of times and again was ok considering the price is reasonable and the amenities are pretty decent. However, during my last and final visit, the cleanliness of the rooms have continued to deteriorate. They really need to do a complete overhaul and cleanup the place. The front desk staff is nice, but I'm not paying for congeniality. Until I learn otherwise, I will not be returning until they clean up this hotel. DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN!!!

Recently stayed at Beach Colony Resort. It was a get away for my birthday. Very happy with our stay. Views were wonderful. Hotel relatively clean. One of the beds sheets stained and cigarette holes in bedspread though no smoking supposedly in rooms. We got package deal where you can order your breakfast buffet from restaurant. I was charged for 3 days worth of meals in package but not given tickets for meals. When I first inquired about it the first morning I was told I had not purchased with package. Then front desk came to restaurant and told us he found 1 day paid for and comped us for another day for overlooking. While i appreciate you researching further we paid $41 for this. if i paid for one day Im sure i paid for others.Since we did eat two of days we only lost $13. I made reservations over phone and they never emailed confirmation of itinerary after 2 request. I would stay again just book online to print out what you pay for!

We visitied Beach Colony Resort this past weekend 7/19-7/21. The staff was really nice, however my room wasn't clean. The bathrooms were not clean, we had to go buy cleaning supplies to clean them ourselves. The kitchen floor was sticky, we had to clean it ourselves. The sheets in the second bedroom were dirty. They had black spots and bubble gum stuck to them. We had to request new sheets and remake the beds. The extra towels that we requested were dirty and appeared to have blood stains and brown stains on them. The TV in the second bedroom only showed 7 channels. The elevators from the parking deck were broken, therefore we had to carry luggage up and down 3 flights of stairs to get inside the hotel. The elevators to our rooms were also broken, they wouldn't stop on the 9th and 10th floors, so we had to change elevators to get to our rooms. The pool area and lazy river area was decent. Needless to say, I won't return and would not recommend friends or family to stay there. :-( I feel that if we paid $333.00 per night, it should have been very nice, comfortable, up to date, and most of all clean.

The service was really bad. When we first got there our first hotel room smelled bad and we were on the second floor, which contains the air conditioners, ALL OF THEM! Second of all when we needed towels they didn't give us ANY! Well they had 4 pools, including a kiddie pool they had things us kids could do, and they had a Jacuzzi, AND a lazy river, the beach was nice, you can rent chairs and an umbrella. So ya the hotel was okay but it could use a new staff (well just room service and towels). other than the room difficulties it was good!! I loved being near the restaurants. PARKING was so complicated, oversized vehicles could ONLY park on the ramp on the first floor. and if tried to go to the second the top of your roof would scrap against the ceiling, and small cars could park anywhere so they took the spots for over sized vehicles, it was stupid! so don't stay there unless you A) have a small car B) don't mind the small and smelly rooms and C) stay for a short time. I hope this helped you pick your hotel wisely.

My husband, our baby sitter, our 3 month old son and I came to Myrtle Beach for a quick weekend getaway. The rate for a 2 bedroom condo was a good rate considering it was the weekend and the beginning of the peak season for the beach. The condo was really nice. Like most hotels that have been around a while, it could use a few touch ups here and there and some detailed cleaning. If they did a white glove finger test, they wouldn't pass. But as for general cleaning, it was acceptable. The front desk was customer friendly and we didn't have any problems with check-in or check-out. The biggest downfall of this resort is their parking garage. It is terrible. Two vehicles cannot comfortably pass each other in the garage. They do have mirrors placed so you can see if a vehicle is coming, but if you happen to be coming in as one is coming out or vice versa, you or the other vehicle has to decide who is going to back up, so the other vehicle can pass thru. And if you have a vehicle larger than an Envoy/Trailblazer, you risk scraping the roof of your vehicle, if you plan to go past the 1st floor. The elevator that is in the actual garage was possessed. Our room was on the 5th floor. To avoid the hassle of trying to get the 5th floor, we parked on the 2nd floor. When we pushed the button to go the 5th floor, the elevator took us down to the 1st floor, then up to the 2nd floor, and then finally took us up to the 5th floor. So if you can help it, go around the corner to the larger elevators. When we entered our room, the first thing I did was look over the rooms and the bathrooms. I saw a few "spots" in the tubs. I immediately called for a housekeeper to give the bathrooms a touch up. The spots weren't that bad, but hey, when you're paying your money for something, you deserve to have it acceptable for your comfort. A housekeeper came, and when she inspected what I was talking about, she explained to me that the spots were set in and could not come up, but she would go back over both bathroom tubs as a courtesy. I apologized for inconveniencing her; however, I was appreciative that she gave the bathrooms a little extra attention. Because we were only staying the weekend, we didn't use the kitchen other than to store drinks in the refrigerator, so I can't say much about that other than the fact that the kitchen was a little small. It was a plus having a washer/dryer in the condo vs having to share a washer/dryer as most resorts are known to do. So when we came from the beach/pool, it was nice to be able to dry our towels and swimwear. I loved the fact that they have several pools, a couple of hot tubs/Jacuzzi's and the lazy river. If we were staying a little longer than we did, then I definitely would have utilized all of them. Overall, we had a nice stay and would probably stay there again considering if the price is right. If you can tolerate the crazy parking garage, you should be able to enjoy your stay.

I loved everything about it except for the fact that we found bugs in our bathroom not enough games in the arcade and how it is so rare to see the staff smile like when going down the elevator it is so awkward they say nothing like literally they just blink breath and stare
