Watch out with POST navigation cases when using OmniFaces + Weld + JSF 2.2! Due to a design mistake in WeldApplication you will face a NPE: https://github.com/omnifaces/omnifaces/issues/75 Note that using POST navigation cases (without redirect) is very JSF 1.x-ish and not recommended in modern web applications. So a decent webapp will never face this exception anyway ;)

I'll speak for the community.
Bauke is well known for his many answers on StackOverflow, his blog and of course his work for the JSF utility library OmniFaces. As members of the JSF 2.3 EG, Bauke and myself (I joined the JSF EG as well) will be looking among others at the possibility of bringing over things from OmniFaces ...

Created new OmniFaces 1.10 snapshot and clarified requirements on http://omnifaces.org homepage! All CDI features will continue in OmniFaces 2.0 and are removed from OmniFaces 1.10 for better compatibility in CDI-less JSF 2.0 environments. To all those non-CDI users, can you please try 1.10 snapshot?

Just committed changes for future #OmniFaces #Vdldoc 2.0. It has now Java 8 look'n'feel and is compatible with new Java EE 7 xmlns.jcp.org namespaces. Preview of Vdldoc with Java 8 look'n'feel here: http://omnifaces.org/docs/vdldoc/current/

OmniFaces 2.0-RC1 (and 1.10-RC1) are now available in Maven Central! Please give it a try and report bugs if any. Then we can finally release 2.0 (and 1.10).

OmniFaces 2.0 RC1 available for testing
We are happy to announce that we have just released OmniFaces 2.0 release candidate 1. OmniFaces 2.0 is the first release that will depend on JSF 2.2 and CDI 1.1 from Java EE 7. Our Servlet dependency is now Servlet 3.0 from Java EE 6 (used to be 2.5, altho...

+Bauke Scholtz Holy moly!  The @Param, <o:viewParamValidationFailed> and <o:resolveComponent> are great! Thank you.

As for the book, that's good to know. I'll definitely buy it. Thank god Amazon ships to Brazil and there are no import taxes for books. :D

Just added new <o:graphicImage> to OmniFaces 2.0 snapshot which supports directly referencing a byte[] or InputStream property, optionally in data URI format without the need for an additional custom servlet or a wrapper object like PrimeFaces StreamedContent: http://snapshot.omnifaces.org/components/graphicImage
The is a component that extends the standard with support for referencing an InputStream or byte[] property in value attribute, optionally as data URI (not recommended for "large" images, ~10KB is cornercase, the less so if there are more of such images in the ...

Added NoGeneratedIdViewHandler to #OmniFaces 2.0 snapshot showcase: http://snapshot.omnifaces.org/viewhandlers/NoAutoGeneratedIdViewHandler This development aid helps you to write JSF code in such way that it renders HTML output without any JSF autogenerated ID.
This ViewHandler once installed will throw an IllegalStateException whenever an automatically generated JSF component ID ( j_id... ) is encountered in the rendered output. This has various advantages: Keep the HTML output free of autogenerated JSF component IDs. No need to fix the IDs again and ...
