I had the gnocchi, which was excellent. The venue is nice and offers a great view, but the music was out of place. My biggest complaint was the service. I found the staff to be curt and unprofessional. At a nice venue with relatively high prices, I expect a lot more.

Consistently good Italian eats in a rustic meets modern setting, with a marina as the backdrop. Service isn't always excellent, but is better than when it was Michael Anthony's.

Very rude staff, food was average - you really expect more in such place. I would also call it overpriced.

A great restaurant with excellent cuisine. Just the butter for the bread alone is a reason to go. Makes you fall in love with bread and butter like you never have before.

After having visited for the first time last night, on date night with my husband, I'm shocked at how many bad reviews Batello received. The staff, location and most importantly to these two food lovers, THE FOOD! I was going to take off a half a star for the bizarre entrance, as we almost missed it, but actually, the road to Batello's valet parking service made us feel like we were on a top secret mission to a very romantic encounter. We both giggled at the thought of what are we in for, we just wanted a long over due great date night! I was super relieved at the graciousness of the valet's and then as I turned the corner, my heart skipped a beat upon seeing the gorgeous skyline I love so much as the backdrop to this wonderfully decorated and well maintained space. Next up, our server, was indeed well trained and very lovely. She allowed us to taste a few wines and also gave us top suggestions on ordering to our preference. We were delighted they even took the extra step and served us truffle butter. Our appetizers were crab cake from the menu and lobster ravioli from the specials. Both delicious and generously sized for appetizers. Our main courses were Prawns Scampi style with an outrageously delicious farro and poached buttered lobster tail (perhaps a tad overdone) with pork belly and a cauliflower risotto that was to die for. The seasoning and flavors of the sauce made it easy to forgive the slightly overdone tail! Thats big for me, as I'm a lobster addict! Dessert - at our servers suggestion, was divine to put it mildly. Chocolate peanut butter torte with popcorn ice cream. Just order it ;) Very excited to go back to see if this is indeed the real deal or did we just get lucky? I have to say, based on my first visit, I'm really looking forward to it!

The food is to die for. I dream of their Chicken Entree and Octopus appetizer.
