Baker City is the lareget city in Baker COunty and was named one of the six most beautiful small towns in the US by Rand Mcanally and USA Today in the 2011 Innaugural BestoftheRoad contest. The Historic downtown is one of the largest turn of the 19th century hsitoric districts in the west with over 100 buildings on the National Register, and has been lovingly restored byt hte local Main Street Program.
