Finding thought's blind spot
“[T]he thing we we apprehend in one great leap, the thing that by means of a fable, is demonstrated as the exotic charm of another system of thought, is the limitation of our own, the stark impossibility of thinking that ” (Foucault 1970, p. xv). Foucault, ...

Tempo and emphasis
“The difference between the aesthetic and the intellectual is thus one of the place where emphasis falls on the constant rhythm that marks the interaction of the live creature with his surroundings. The ultimate matter of both emphases is the same,  as  is ...

Shortness of distance is not nearness
“All distances in time and space are shrinking. Man now reaches overnight, by plane, places which formerly took weeks and months of travel. He now receives instant information, by radio, of events which he formerly learned about only years later, if at all ...

Engineering ethics
“When technologies coshape human actions, they give material answers to the ethical question of how to act. This implies that engineers are doing ‘ethics by other means’: they materialize morality.” - Verbeek, P.-P., 2006. Materializing Morality: Design Eth...

Introduction
I am a Doctoral candidate in the Information Systems and Management group at the Warwick Business School at the University of Warwick. My research interests lie in relationships that form between people and computational objects in organisational settings and the way these impact identity, leadership, and organisation. In particular, I am interested in the interplay between leadership practices and performance as mediated through technology.
