- Yeah I know that this is a runtime :) and I know it loads OAT files, I've checked source code :) What I'm asking is how this suppose to work.
At first glance it looks like elaborate AoT compiler - using LLVM to convert DEX to executable (OAT is an ELF with additional data - DEXes and other stuff) but it's a big codebase so I'm obviously missing a lot of things (eg. what is interpreter part, unstarted runtime, if this compile on per method basis and if yes how this is faster than JIT which can deep inline) hence my question.Nov 1, 2013
