We were in Pismo Beach to meet with friends and visit a vintage trailer rally, and decided to check out the only beach you can drive on in California. You can also camp here; using a tide table is definitely recommended, though :).  Truck and trailer weigh about 12K lbs as shown here; 4wd and sticking to the firmer parts of the beach is definitely a good idea.
