I'm not sure I would agree this is the toughest interview question. It's one of the 20 standard, stupid, inane, canned interview questions asked that is easily answered with a comparable superficial answer.

We're approaching the point where a growing job market intersects with declining employee satisfaction.

Do you have a specific, written, actionable plan for when key people begin to resign. What steps are you going to take before they walk in and give notice, and what is your plan once the give notice and announce they are going to join a competitor in two weeks?

Without a plan, you're at the mercy of the job market and ineffective solutions at engagement and retention.

I posted this article on our website a few years ago and the issues related to how your candidate portrays themselves on-line is as important today. I keep hearing horror stories from clients when the Google candidates or look up their facebook profiles. Good call for being diligent in validation, vetting, and verification.
