This was my second visit to Barraca and my general feeling about this place haven't changed... The service was below mediocre and the food was average. If you're in the mood for tapas or paella, I suggest Toro (just a short stroll away). Their prices are comparable, but Toro's execution and presentation is on another level.
The only thing I like about Barraca are their cocktails and selection of sangria...
I like the people that work here, I came for lunch and got the Mercado salad with the Vegetable Boccata $13. The salad was delicious the kale was so fresh and crunchy. I would definably come back for the salad !
As a Spaniard, the food taste like home (especially the tortilla, the octopus and the sangria). The menu is relatively short with demonstrate that the restaurant focuses on quality rather than quantity. The atmosphere is laid back and intimate.
