Here are fascinating results from a 1,000 artist survey on website builder usage from the Abundant Artist. What surprised me most is 20% of respondents don't have a website. Really? A website is so foundational to virtually all businesses in 2018. And, with viable, free options available there is no reason for not having a web presence unless one is an amateur dabbler posing as an artist.

Circumstances cause problems. Some we can't control. But, attitude is an internal thing that can override external forces. Not saying it's always easy. Am saying it's always possible. It's about choice, including how you choose to act on your choice.

It is a valuable idea to develop your research and analysis to go beyond understanding why people buy your art. How is your art purchased? Make a list of where your art sells. Is it online, studio sales, networking, and referrals, galleries, juried shows, or fairs?
