I posted a "spy game" challenge to my friends this morning. So far 2 people have won $5 for cracking the code. Any more takers?

Predictions about the future that I read about a decade ago are coming true today.

Yeah I get a whirring sound too when it starts. What is that? Is it supposed to be there? Also, I've only gotten 140 mpg :-( lots of road trips from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe.

This took balls: calling it like it is.

Asking questions as Judge Andrew Napolitano did in a recent broadcast on his now cancelled daily show may very well be the reason behind his recent dismissal from Fox. Though specific details are har

I haven't posted on G+ in a while. How are you?

I've been experimenting with tools for privacy online. Because I learned that our private conversations are valuable. What you tell me in private is valuable, and I want to be able to share valuable things with you. We don't want creepy wierdo's to listen to every word we say and then sell our secrets to other creepy wierdo's (I mean, corporations are people too... creepy people).

Has anybody tried private emails using PGP? If not, check out mailvelope (in browser) or Enigmail (on desktop) and email me! Has anybody tried private chat using OTR? If not check out ChatSecure (phone), Pidgin/Adium with OTR plugins (desktop), or  CryptoCat (browser) and let's chat!

Great video. The history of money is not well understood despite many great books on the subject (such as "debt, the first 5,000 years"). This video nails it: if you understand the history of money then it makes perfect sense that bitcoin would be the future of money.

"Of course a currency of the internet would have to be international and thus cannot be issued by any one country. It also has to handle microtransactions and have very tiny costs. And internet money would have to be open source."

Handling microtransactions is not unique to bitcoin, nor is it a very useful thing.  It's costs continue to rise, I might add, and the end game of Bitcoin forces the costs to rise even further.  Also, open source is absolutely a detriment when it comes to a currency.

"Fine don't call it a currency, call it something new (and wonderful)."

I won't.  I will.  It isn't.

"Right now Bitcoin volatile, so it's currently not a good store of value. But please do not mistake a phase for the end product. It will stabilize."

It will stabilize... but that will be due to people abandoning it.  It simply cannot succeed as anything more than a paypal variant... with, at the end, even higher fee's.

Introduction
I'm a software engineer and scrummaster. Originally from Gdansk Poland, grew up in NYC, went to RIT, now live in San Francisco.

I like camping/backpacking, coding in python and Javascript, and reading. There's a hopeless romantic inside of me who loves sunsets, walks on the beach, and nature.
