A 2,300 acre residential golf community, Barefoot Resort & Golf is one of the most exceptional golf resorts in Myrtle Beach. With names like Tom Fazio, Davis Love III, Greg Norman and Pete Dye, golfers know that they will be treated to some of the finest golf architecture in the world. On April 13, 2000 Barefoot successfully opened four championship courses simultaneously, making it the only time a developer has opened four new courses at the same time in the United States.

We are the host site of Golf Channel’s hit TV show – ‘Big Break’ Myrtle Beach. Each golf course has received national acclaim by all of the major golf publications. They include: Myrtle Beach’s #1 Golf Course ranking and “Americas Top 100 Public Courses” by Golf Digest, “Top 15 You Can Play in SC” by Golfweek and holds the distinction of being named both the Myrtle Beach and SC state “Golf Course of the Year.”

Featuring all-inclusive golf packages with premium resort-style amenities, a state of the art lighted driving range, short game practice facility, full service restaurant and bar, everything you need can be found at the resort or just a short drive away. All this and more is conveniently located within minutes of fine dining, entertainment, shopping and the wide beaches of North Myrtle Beach. For more information on how to book a tee time, your next golf vacation or how to become a Member, give us a call or head on over to www.barefootgolf.com to learn more.

It’s no secret why Barefoot Resort & Golf is one of the most sought after golf destinations in the country. Let us help make your vacation one to remember!

Love this place. Courses are challenging and usually in great shape. My wife and I liked it so much we purchased a condo and will be retiring here. Fazio is my favorite course, Dye is next favorite. The staff is always very nice. The ranger comes around a few time each round and offers ice water, very nice in the South Carolina heat during summer months.

Had a four night stay with a group of golfers. It was amazing everything was as advertised and it was worth the money. My one complaint is a big one, I left my golf shoes at the Dye course and apparently all of the staff noticed them sitting on the rack but never picked them up for me. I was told "people just usually come back and get them". I guess I was to late and somebody needed a pair of shoes. Pretty disappointed with the result especially since they saw my shoes. You would think a nice place like this would have more decency.

Our church conducts an annual charity golf tournament with the proceeds going to those in need in our community. For the past 2 years we have conducted this event on the Norman and Fazio courses. Not only have the courses been in outstanding condition the management at Barefoot have truly been exceptional in helping us conduct our tournament. Coordinating with Mike Ross and James Gillespie has been a pleasure as every detail is given their attention. Dave Bennett their banquet manager has provided exceptional food and service. Everyone looks forward every year to our annual tournament at Barefoot. It is a pleasure working with them every year. Ed Kazan

Overall...good but, had some problems with it. The clubhouse is nice, facilities and the staff overall were good. My major issue was the on course services. Myrtle in august is hot and humid, naturally. We didn't see the cart girl until the 15th hole. For a $45 round of golf, I expect to be able to grab something to eat or drink on the course, so for $107 you expect a little more attention, especially since it wasn't very busy at all. We played the Davis course, the greens were in great shape, rolled true. The tee boxes were a little torn up, and the fairways were burnt up badly in some areas and in other areas they were like a swamp. Ultimately the cart girl thing kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

The Barefoot courses are some of the best in Myrtle Beach. In the two times I have been to Barefoot I have played the Norman, Fazio and Dye courses. I am not a huge fan of Davis Love III designs so I have no desire to play that particular course. If you are looking for wide open fairways and easy green complexes I would suggest the Norman course. This is a fantastic course for beginners who are not spot on with their irons. If you want open fairways but more challenging greens then go to the Fazio course. If you want your rear end kicked with tricky visualization and a downright difficult course try the Dye course. The last time I was at the Barefoot Resort we stayed in the Villas which were very nice. They were right across the street from the main clubhouse. This gave us easy access to the golf course without having to travel very far. The one thing I do not like about the Barefoot Resort is having to get on a "train" to go to the driving range. There is not a driving range next to the course. The Dye Course has a very small driving range but the other three force you to take the "train" to the Callaway facility. Also, the practice putting green was not indicative of the actual greens on the courses the last time we played. If warming up and getting a feel for your game is important you may not enjoy Barefoot as much as I do. If you just grab your sticks and go you will love the Barefoot courses.

The Wyndham hotel next to it is fantastic, however, me and my friend were ejected for jumping in the pool!? That's unheard of. Not only that but the advisor this old redneck called told us to leave because he called the cops for us jumping in! Unreal. Definitely a one star in my books unless they shape up.

We are sorry you had a bad experience while visiting the Wyndham Dye Villas. Unfortunately we do not have any control over how Wyndham treats there guests and are a completely separate entity. It is unfair that you have given us a bad review, when in fact you should be reviewing the people at Wyndham. We would greatly appreciate it if you could retract your negative review of us as we had no control over your experience.

I have brought multiple groups to this resort over the past four years. In a word, the experience is always remarkable. Whether it is the big group (170 golfers) or the smaller group (20 golfers), we get the same dedicated, professional service. The staff, from the beverage carts, to the bag drop, to the catering manager, to the pro shop and golf director is outstanding. We are welcomed back every time by name. Any detail, no matter how small, is always attended to. It is very clear to us all that we are valued customers, and that has kept us coming back again and again. The layout of the resort is outstanding, with three courses co-located with the main clubhouse. The Dye course is approx. 3/4 mile away, with its own beautiful clubhouse. The golf is challenging (more so for me), and no matter what time of year it is the courses are immaculately maintained. There is more than adequate variety among the four courses, and the location along the intercoastal waterway is gorgeous. There is more than enough housing within a mile of the main clubhouse. All the units are very clean and well maintained. The property management staff is equally outstanding, and cater to any need. I have even been able to arrange for a grocery run in advance of one of our trips. I've have arranged several annual tournaments at a variety of resorts over the years, and Barefoot is tough, if not impossible to beat. I can't say enough positive things about our experiences there, and am looking forward to our next visit in May.

We are happy to report that we have successfully re-opened all four of our golf courses. A big thanks goes out to all of our members, friends and followers who gave us the willpower to face adversity head-on and come out victorious. We couldn't have done it without you!
