Came here with children. Arrived at 11am Check in is at 4pm, we didn't even get our keys until 4:30. We got out of the office at 5pm, drove to the "villas" and entered our "two bedroom suite," look at the pictures I uploaded. There was poop on the carpet in the bathroom. Semen and urine in a blanket shoved into a closet by the "maid service" and the bed sheets weren't even changed. Absolutely horrible, avoid at all costs. Management did nothing, they were so rude and nasty. Amber was so rude and did not want to accept any responsibility, all she said was "sorry, we don't know what goes on in the suites, we just give the keys."

Played the Fazio course. I'll start with the good. The clubhouse is top of the line. Tons of merchandise. Personal hand towels in the bathrooms. Masseuse available. Great service. Really nice practice facility. That is where all the money goes. The golf course was average at best for Myrtle Beach. Nice layout. Many bunkers were dirt and not sand. Greens were in good shape but slow. Rough was dormant grass and patchy. The course was not worth what we paid. I'd rate the course a 6 out of 10.

Love this place. Courses are challenging and usually in great shape. My wife and I liked it so much we purchased a condo and will be retiring here. Fazio is my favorite course, Dye is next favorite. The staff is always very nice. The ranger comes around a few time each round and offers ice water, very nice in the South Carolina heat during summer months.

The Hoffman Group and in particular Ben Guyton provided us with excellent customer service during our search for a vacation home in North Myrtle Beach. He knows the area very well and took the time to work with and for us not just as another client but as a friend. We continue to recommend him to anyone planning to purchase in the Myrtle Beach area. Ben, thanks for all you did for us!!

Overall...good but, had some problems with it. The clubhouse is nice, facilities and the staff overall were good. My major issue was the on course services. Myrtle in august is hot and humid, naturally. We didn't see the cart girl until the 15th hole. For a $45 round of golf, I expect to be able to grab something to eat or drink on the course, so for $107 you expect a little more attention, especially since it wasn't very busy at all. We played the Davis course, the greens were in great shape, rolled true. The tee boxes were a little torn up, and the fairways were burnt up badly in some areas and in other areas they were like a swamp. Ultimately the cart girl thing kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

The Barefoot courses are some of the best in Myrtle Beach. In the two times I have been to Barefoot I have played the Norman, Fazio and Dye courses. I am not a huge fan of Davis Love III designs so I have no desire to play that particular course. If you are looking for wide open fairways and easy green complexes I would suggest the Norman course. This is a fantastic course for beginners who are not spot on with their irons. If you want open fairways but more challenging greens then go to the Fazio course. If you want your rear end kicked with tricky visualization and a downright difficult course try the Dye course. The last time I was at the Barefoot Resort we stayed in the Villas which were very nice. They were right across the street from the main clubhouse. This gave us easy access to the golf course without having to travel very far. The one thing I do not like about the Barefoot Resort is having to get on a "train" to go to the driving range. There is not a driving range next to the course. The Dye Course has a very small driving range but the other three force you to take the "train" to the Callaway facility. Also, the practice putting green was not indicative of the actual greens on the courses the last time we played. If warming up and getting a feel for your game is important you may not enjoy Barefoot as much as I do. If you just grab your sticks and go you will love the Barefoot courses.
