The Washington Post Says: "A few highlights from the week:
Beginning today, Barcode starts serving up a slew of vegan dishes, including pizzas and pastas with vegan mozzarella. The highlight might be the new desserts, however: a wine-poached pear with chocolate, and chocolate fondue (both ring up at $7)."
The third year of the event enlists restaurants and food trucks across the city to add vegan dishes to the menu.

The happy hour special is fantastic- half off beer and wine which means the drinks are only $3-5 which is crazy cheap for D.C. It's a go-to spot after work for several of my colleagues. The bar gets pretty crowded during happy hour, but the drink special makes up for that. The food is pretty standard, but we aren't really there for the food.

Bartenders have no personality and seem like you asking for a drink is an annoyance to them.

I just do not like this bar. It is horribly crowded at happy hour and then depressingly empty when bottle service kicks in. The main attraction seems to be all of the TVs that line the walls. I personally find them distracting, unnecessary and the random images they have playing are at times a little disturbing. Avoid.

I am giving 2 stars for the Owners who opened a nice Bar and generated more employment. No stars for the Bartender who works there. Yday we went to bar and ordered 3 pizas to go. Bartender said Sir pizza will be here in 10 minutes. After 30 minutes we asked him about pizza he said he is not the one who is cooking, this is not a Dominos Pizza. When we objected to his answer that he is not supposed to answer in this manner. He was more rude. Owners pls chck with your bartenders, on your hardwork for making such a nice place your Bartenders are making a bad patch on it. Be Aware of your bartenders. Incident happen on Wednesday Sept 10, 2014 at around 9.30.

Excellent meal! Calamari was uniquely made, flavorful and prepared to perfection! Lamb dish was mouth watering to the very last bite!!! Try them...loved them! The service was outstanding also!!! I definitely and will be spreading the word! In fact, I told two friends and the next night they were there and impressed as I was! Good and enjoy an experience of fine cuisine, great service and fun!

Just awful. Went for a quick lunch with my wife. Was anything but quick. Meat was undercooked and the meatballs my wife had tasted like processed ragu. Waiter was so slow and screwed up our drink order. To top it off the people next to us sat down with the nastiest smelling clams I have ever had the displeasure of smelling. Stay far far away. Had to get fro yo after to get the taste out of my mouth and settle my stomach.

I feel like Barcode is trying really hard to be a fancy sports bar, and it kind of sorta works. Drinks, food, and service are solid, but there are usually so many people competing for space that it is difficult to notice. Barcode would be better served by picking between sports bar or upscale lounge, not both.
