I sent you this because I loved their marketing philosophy and thought
you might enjoy the article. Although I also highly recommend Slack, and
you and your partner might want to go ahead and start using it. It's
really great because it archives every question you ask, every
communication between the team, and the archive is searchable and
accessible from the cloud (and on your mobile). Lots of other good
reasons. Plus it is free to try.

Mulched: Heavy lifting, back aches, but worth it
We have been using a "mulch paper" made out of plastic, perforated so rain can get through, as a weed block for several years. Recently I read that this isn't such a great idea; it does nothing for the soil and can make it hard for plants to get enough wate...

How to grow beets blog post
I just came across this great post, " How to Grow Beets ," at A Way to Garden. I knew some of it (the structure of a beet "seed") but most of it was new to me, like how to store them. Plus there is a good recipe they link to there that I am hoping Adam will...

I've created an email address called dontbeadouchiewebsite specifically for that purpose, then all their spammy sales emails can go right into the ether, never to be seen again.

Reduce (stash), reuse (patterns), recycle (?)
I was just reading some posts in a blog series called  Stash Less , where craft blogger Felicia Semple describes attempting to use up her stash instead of buying more. I have been working at this for more than a year myself. Mostly I've done moderately well...

It's so, so charming and reassuring that Max Kanat-Alexander describes an example from his own past work. We all improve over time, at least we hope to, but the flip side of that is we all used to do things we would shudder at today.

We go there often to hang out for an hour and people-watch in Montclair's small town center. The service staff are very friendly. The food is good to great. Last week I had a new salad on their menu with dijon mustard dressing and goat cheese - really delicious. Their patisserie is noteworthy too.
