I write lyrics and poetry, but I have a soft squeaky voice.  I would love to learn to sing well enough to sing my own lyrics, not professionally, but to my husband and church.  Do you think you could help?   I write faith based lyrics and poetry.  God Bless

Magic in the Touch

There is magic in the touch.
All of us need the magic of the touch, a hug, or a kiss.
Human beings thrive on affections of all kinds,
and do not do well without the magic of the touch.
A small infant knows the soothing and comfort of a simple touch
and falls asleep feeling safe.
With a child, a touch and hug can calm her from misbehavior.
An adult does better at work, in social settings,
and intimacy of friendship with the magic of a simple touch.
As I fill my days with meaningless tasks,
how I long for a simple touch of kindness.
How does mankind go through life with indifference
when they are truly linked to each other?
We are forever needing the magic of the touch.

                                            He Calls To Me
My love calls to me
In the whispers through the night
The fog blinds his sight
Yet
The sweet scent of magnolias guides him to me
Softly embracing
Moving our feet to a soft lovers waltz
The whispers of love floats through the hazy mist
Lingering in a soft melody
He calls to me
Wanting and needing to be forever close
Oh, to watch the dawn break
And the mist subside
He calls to me
Knowing
I'm always near

                                                 Can You Hold On?

There is a young man who is down on his luck.
When will the hardships be gone?
Scraping and saving every buck,
he prays, "Can I hold on?"

There is an old man, sick and soon to die,
lying in his bed with his family all gone.
Fear is overwhelming, that he can't deny.
He whispers, "Can I hold on?"

There is a mother with bills to pay,
The struggles of life closing in.
There is doubt she can last another day.
Can she find faith and strength within?
She cries, "Can I hold on?"

There are people all over this land,
homeless, sick, and doing without.
With churches not willing to give them a hand,
what is Christ and giving all about?
They wonder, "Can we hold on?"

Announcement
I have always loved Children’s books, when my own children were small enough for me to read to them.  They loved the ones with the beautiful pictures.  As an adult I have always had a love about anything pertaining to Angels, so my first of several Children’s books has been released.  It is about a small angel named Muffin who wants to feel important in Heaven and have a special task.  I am privileged to introduce my AWESOME Illustrator, Hugo Teixeira from Portugal.  He is well known in his country, so I am happy to have him on board.  My book he is illustrating for June release will be the first of a series, called (Muffins, (Junior Guardian Angel Pose).  The series is about these small Angels being assigned to Children on Earth and the tasks they perform with a cute twist.  I hope all of you will be looking for it.  If you have small children or grandchildren, I know they will love the books.  Please note the excellence of the Illustrators work and welcome him in our Author community.

Thanks for your support.

                                   Just A Little Smile

Sometimes it is hard to get through the day
With questions of what our life is about
We expect the answers with no delay
Yet when we receive them, we have so much doubt

Little have we learned about the value of simple things
Ignoring individual freedom and style
Forgetting what kindness brings
And the magic that comes from just a little smile

We are too filled with selfishness and greed
To think of one another
What they truly need
And refusing to help our brother

When we wake up and give thanks for what we have got
And imagine the hardships of others for awhile
Our understanding would help them a lot
And we could encourage them with just a little smile

The following are Amazon Reviews of Mrs. Rowe’s poetry book

By Leanna Harrow Format: Paperback: this book evoked both smiles and tears as I took the journey down this author’s path. I could walk parallel to her in many of her poems as I too have had similar journeys; I hazard a guess that we all have.

She expresses herself in a way that makes you feel like you are reading your own thoughts. I can hardly wait to see what she comes up with next. An absolute treasure!

By Kath Unsworth Format: Paperback: “Paths On A Rainbow” is a beautiful book. Not only is Barbara. C. Rowe an artist and a children's book Author, she is also a Poet, who has an amazing talent to paint a vivid picture with her unique style and choice of words. This book of poems is something to behold and would make a wonderful thoughtful gift.
