Banyan was very honored to host the delivery of Aztec Airways's first Chinese-made commuter #aircraft. For more than five years Stuart Hanley, Aztec’s founder, has been working with North American representatives for China’s Aircraft Industry Group to become the U.S. launch customer for its Y12F #turboprop plane. Currently, no other aircraft in the world with this size range can be purchased brand new, so the Y12F creates a milestone in #aviation history.

The Y12F aircraft received type certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in February 2016. For the U.S. market, the plane can be configured to carry 19 passengers in addition to cargo, or cargo alone.

Hanley flew a test #flight with a prototype of the Y12F from Montreal to Fort Lauderdale where him and the copilots plus crew were greeted by the Banyan family.
