I just got off the phone with +B and H.... I've never dealt with a more condescending customer service representative "Lee" in my life and I'm pretty much that at my job. Only I'm in support. I curse (we don't use that language here) the fuck... You don't but WE most certainly do. The entire listing was false. Is this how you do business by trying to temper the language of an already upset new customer who won't be returning?
This could have been a good opportunity to keep a new customer but I get it you're making money hand over fist so my little $600 and future photography endeavours likely mean nothing to you. But trust me every chance I get I will turn people away from you. I used to recommend your services to clients for computers needs as well NEVER AGAIN. All I'm asking for is my money back so that I can purchase the camera that i want, in the condition described which determines the price I'm willing to pay.
I'd never pay full price for an open boxed item from China. And I would expect a company with a reputation such as yours to disclose this on the product page.
When I asked you to price match you gave me this bullshit about the camera not being under manufacturer warranty. And then you send me a device NOT covered by the manufacturer warrant! When I called this morning I get told (we're the manufacturer warranty) oh really? You're Sony? Please cut the bullshit. And trying to censor an already irate customers choice in language isn't the best policy especially considering the issues you've have choosing the people to interact with your customer base. You're not the only business in town and thanks to this transaction you'll not be getting another dime from me nor a recommendation to purchase from any of my customers.
Yesterday's Email from Me:
I have packed and reshipped the camera not two hours after getting it, I am going on vacation the middle of next week. UPS ground to california is going to take too long (a week from what the UPS store rep tells me) too get to new York, I ordered this second day and I need to get this taken care of as soon as possible, waiting for your mistake to return to the warehouse while moving that slowly is unacceptable. Especially since this box was pretty much just a device and accessories.
Nothing about this order was right. Everything was attached to the body of the camera (Lense and cover) and I have no booklets, no warranty card or Sony gift offers in the box and there is no protective film anywhere on the device.
I ordered this for a vacation to Hong Kong and Tokyo. Which I've already spent an obscene amount of money on. And this transaction has me beyond upset and annoyed, as what I got is not what I ordered. I ordered new, but got an open box item with missing manuals, warranty and offers.
Please, is there anyway you could overnight me a new un-opened U.S model Sony a5100 without Japanese Kanji all over the box? Or refund my money as soon as you get this email so that I can have this device overnighted from another retailer so that I can enjoy my vacation?
The other device you sent me is en route and I have attached the UPS store receipt with tracking number. I would have paid more to over night this back but I shouldn't have too outside of the fact that I don't have the money to do it right now due to trip planning.
This is my first time buying anything from B&H and I would hate for it to be my last as I was planning on purchasing more equipment and possibly a Cannon D80 in the coming months.
Perception is reality and the reality is that the ball was not only dropped in regards to my order. It was punted.
