The video of Azul CTO Gil Tene's ObjectLayout presentation from the JVM Language Summit ( #JVMLS ) is now available. The presentation describes the ObjectLayout.org effort, with a focus on StructuredArray. The goal of this effort is to match the raw speed benefits C-based languages get from commonly used forms of memory layout and make these benefits available for 'Plain Old Java Object" (POJO) use. http://medianetwork.oracle.com/video/player/3730888956001

The Zulu Commercial Compatibility Kit (CCK) is now available for free download. The CCK contains additional functionality that is not included in the #openjdk  source but helps ensure compatibility for applications that take advantage of specific additional features Oracle bundles with the HotSpot #jvm  in the Oracle JDK. When downloading choose the CCK version that matches your operating system and Zulu package type (such as zip or rpm). http://www.azulsystems.com/products/zulu/cck-downloads

Heading to #oscon2014  in Portland next week? See the Azul team in booth #429 and pick up your Azul Systems open source guide. Download open source Azul Zulu before you get there, ask our team any questions you have and mention you saw this on Google+ to get a Zulu t-shirt! I also hear rumors of Voodoo Donuts in the booth. ;-)  Download Zulu (free) here: http://www.azulsystems.com/products/zulu/downloads
