Thor: Ragnarok
Have you seen it yet?

Finally caught it today with my kids. And boy, it was awesome! I was a little concerned that we were going to be disappointed after the marvel that was Wonder Woman, and let's face it, the last couple of Avenger movies were a touch dubious with Captain America: Civil War being downright uncomfortable.

It was everything a superhero movie should be, complete with an abundance of the humour we've come to identify with Marvel movies.

Led Zeppelin playing in the opening fight sequence was a fabulous intro and scene setter, after the God of Thunder's clowning.

Chris Hemsworth is Thor personified, methinks, after one gets over the slight Aussie inflections that appear in his speech from time to time. He has everything the character requires: brawn and sometimes questionable brain.

Tom Hiddleston can't do anything wrong as far as I'm concerned, and once again, brings the sly, conniving and smarmy Loki to life.

Cate Blanchett is her usual brilliantly wicked self, even if I have seen her playing the same character, albeit in somewhat understated tones, in Cinderella.

Mark Ruffalo was interesting in this one, taking his shy guy persona a little further than we've seen. I like Mark but Bruce Banner will always be Bill Bixby to me!

Idris Elba - well, I'll leave my husband for him!

Jeff Goldblum was simply hilarious, he's a master, no matter what role he takes on.

Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie was good in her role, but I didn't buy the switch from bitch to BFF.

Almost didn't recognise Karl Urban.

Did you spot Matt Damon's incognito role?

Verdict: I'd rate this 8.5/10, my kids say 10/10.
What do you think, have you seen it?
