We want to take the time out to congratulate the teams that competed in the Solar Car Challenge this year. Each team drove across the country in their solar cars that they built themselves. The drive started in Fort Worth, Texas and finished off in Palmdale, California. Three teams from Texas placed in the top 5. In second place Wylie East High School from Wylie, Texas, in third place Covenant Christian Academy from Colleyville, Texas and in fourth place Presidio High School from Presidio, Texas. What an awesome opportunity these students got to be apart of all while learning the importance of Solar Energy.

Mariah Ruffin, Project Coordinator, joined the Axium Solar team at the end of June. She combines her excellent customer service skills and construction knowledge to support a variety of projects and more importantly, our customers.

In addition to helping us stay organized, Mariah is working towards her ASL Interpreter Certification and a degree in business management.

Mariah is a great asset to the team - we are very excited to have her aboard!
