A unique way to display an infographic. Excellent balance of text and graphics that draws your eye to the call-to-action.

Good web design is based on good print design. Maintain the grid, visual hierarchy, clean fonts, high-res background images.

Here's an awesome example from David Istvan: https://www.awesomeweb.com/p/product-catalog-1180

How do you design a landing page for a book about design? Make it simple, relevant, focus on the headline, and drive to the call-to-action.

Here's the original landing page design before Tomas released his book: https://www.awesomeweb.com/p/mobile-design-book

The live site has since been updated.

The second most expensive logo ever cost $211,000,000 (BP's rebranding in 2008). How can a logo cost that much? More importantly, how can you ever come close to charging that much for a logo design? It's all about process.

Here's a wonderful example of good process in brand identity: https://www.awesomeweb.com/p/visionarity

Dear Designer,

When you design a website, you deliver a mockup, which in most cases is sufficient. When you design a web app, you should deliver a branding or style guide with colors, components, and typography. If you don't want developers to break your designs, you need to make it easy to follow.

Here's a wonderful example: https://www.awesomeweb.com/p/chirpler-redesign

Turnaround: 2 - 4 weeks
Cost: $5,000 - $10,000

Sit with me as I go through our latest feature. I know you’ll have questions, so I’ll walk you through:

1. The client’s perspective and why specialties are so important.

2. Best practices for setting up your specialties to get more clients for the long-haul.

3. Answering questions around specialties, how to handle clients, and lessons learned from watching most freelancers leave money on the table.

Plus, I’ll introduce you to our new lead developer, the man who built this awesome feature.

Don’t miss out!

For the last two weeks we've been gathering, reading, and analyzing scholarship applications to determine your greatest struggles, frustrations, and resentments with the web design industry.

The result is this charming infographic. You'll LOVE it or HATE it!

Either way, let us know what you think:
