To sum the stay at the Avenue Inn B & B in one word, would be “comfortable”. It’s like staying with a friend or relative. Joe and Bebe make you feel at home, in their home. From the fresh pastries and hot coffee in the morning, to a large inviting room with a comfortable bed. We enjoyed our coffee and breakfast sitting in rocking chairs on their porch…looking at the stately oaks that line St Charles St, the street cars moving by, and their beautiful patio and gardens. Their location is great for Tulane parents, very close to Tulane and uptown, and a short cab ride or trolley car to the French Quarter or other parts of New Orleans. It’s a relaxing atmosphere where you can come and go as you please. But if you want or need anything, Joe and Bebe will be there to help you.

I had a lovely stay with my boyfriends and his family on January 21, 2015. I am originally from New Orleans, so I love the authentic feel of being home I got at Avenue Inn. We were greeted with warm hot cookies, that melted in your mouth! My boyfriend is unfortunately allergic to chocolate, but no worries within seconds, he was brought a cinnamon pastry to die for. We all felt like the staff and owners went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! This home is lovely.

My husband and I just recently stayed at Avenue Inn B&B. We have never done the B&B thing before, but feel in love with the Avenue Inn. Our stay there has changed our entire view of traveling. What better way to immerse yourself into a city then to stay in a residential home. We are total B&B converts. And we have Joe and the wonderful treatment we received at Avenue Inn to thank for it.

My parents and I stayed here and loved it. Great location, beautiful house and neighborhood. Joe and BeBe were kind and thoughtful - had great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. Hope we can return again someday!

Wow! Coming from Canada we had heard about 'southern hospitality' but the Innkeepers Joe and Bebe at the Avenue Inn went way above and beyond. We were treated to a warm freshly baked cookie (Joe bakes a fresh cake for breakfast each morning by the way!) and a relaxed fun check in upon arrival. Our room was fabulous, loved the antique charm of this incredible mansion and all the added touches like free bottled water and snacks throughout the day were very appreciated. Joe was always around to chat and give us restaurant and attraction ideas in the city and ready with a joke too :) A great start to a "baby moon" for us and we will for sure be back! Thanks for everything!

After coming to NOLA for around 5 years and staying in hotels, this was my first Bed and Breakfast and I loved it! Also, this was my first time coming alone, and the place was beautiful, accessible, comfortable and safe! Streetcar line right across the street, great restaurant Superior seafood one block down, nice walks in garden district and close enough to the Quarter as well. Great hosts Joe and Bebe, and Nedra, housekeeper is fantastic.

Our visit was a birthday trip to celebrate my daughters' birthday. The stay at the Avenue Inn was perfect! The room and beds were so comfortable, and it was so quiet and peaceful, although the inn was full! The home and surroundings are beautiful! If you want a 5 star B&B, this is it! Joe and Bebe are gracious hosts, taking care of every need! It rained quite a bit, but didn't damper our trip. Joe was right there to call us a cab and give expert advice about where to go and how to get there. We celebrated the twins' birthday at Commander's Palace. Bebe made us reservations a week prior to our arrival. I have dined there 3 times in past years, and it proved to be great as ever...and order the fabulous bread pudding souffle! The location of the Avenue Inn is great, as it is right on the street car stop at St Charles and Milan in the beautiful Garden District. If you are looking for an outstanding New Orleans visit, look no further. "Book it Now," and you will get some discount...whatever it is that day.

We had a lovely stay! Joe and Bebe are hospitable and warm hosts. The Inn is cozy and charming, and very much gives off a 'family-run' vibe. On both mornings we sat outside for at least an hour in the comfortable rocking chairs, enjoying our breakfast, reading, and watching the everyday parade down St Charles St. Our room on the top floor was quiet, clean, and cute. Also, very conveniently situated on the St Charles trolley line, which takes you right into the French Quarter. We will definitely come back on return visits to NOLA!
