I actually think it has done great considering is not available internationally and it is not accesible via Xbox and PlayStation.

+Shawn S  I have had Hulu and Netflix since it started. The only reason I pay for Cable is because it is part of a Triple-Play package and because i share the cable line with others. Otherwise i would only have fiber for Internet and the Phone which at this point is downright free. I think if it was just me, i would have had it that way for almost 6 years.

Looks like Tim Armstrong has been feeding his idea to Verizon Board and they saw it as: Ok, lets try to do it.
In my case, I have always been in favor of this idea since it does makes the resulting entity a lot stronger. The only one that opposed to this vision was pretty much Marissa Mayer. Now, she don't really has a choice but to accept it. But if she had partnered or absorbed AOL 1 year ago instead of wasting 1 Billion Dollars in stuff that amounted to nothing, she would had been able to keep the reigns of something with a shot a being a lot bigger.
Verizon Communications Inc. has given Tim Armstrong, chief executive officer of its AOL unit, a leading role in exploring a possible bid for Yahoo! Inc. assets, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

I choose this upload of the video to see how many views it could directly generate from me sharing. I now got the answer: 5000 views. Umm, that is a nice amount.

It is a long thread worth reading but I will summarize the matter:
Right now Samourai Wallet, in its private alpha state is just like any basic Bitcoin Wallet. Not secure, private or open source.  But it aspires to be by the time it reaches an open Beta. The problem is that all its promotion was dishonest so far by giving false impressions for premature PR sake. Such a shame.

INCREDIBLE! 12PH per Mining Center Container. 2 month or so ago, the rumors about Bitfury achieving the efficiency of being able to put 1PH online for just $100K USD started going around. This either makes those rumors true or exceeds them already.

Arcade City is an interesting development. I wish it the best, as if it succeeds it would be good not just for Bitcoin but for distributed services. Which is what it is. Not truly Decentralized as it is portrayed. That would need it working from a DAC and for the app to be a DAPP first. nonetheless, still a great idea to try.

At this point you could make a movie trilogy or a mini-series out of The Silk Road & The Ross Ulbricht Story without any effort.

Considering Opera has now been circling the drain for over a year now. It would be clinically insane to reject a $1.2B USD offer for the company.

Once they failed to find adoption for their Opera TV OS and/or browser, They were pretty much done. Specially since on Mobile they got replaced by UC browser and Maxthon for those looking for a browser that saves up data usage.
There is "strong strategic and industrial logic to the acquisition," according to the software maker's CEO.

I paid for the early versions of their browser...I needed something that was honest-to-god standards compliant and it was the only one around. I loved it, got hooked, and stuck with them until they abandoned Linux. It was kind of sad migrating everything over to Chromium and doing rm -rf ~/.opera but I had to do it.

This TMNT Video Game looks potentially great. Considering it was done by the same studio that did Transformers: Devastation which was good. It does holds promise. Another thing about Transformers: Devastation is that it was really well optimized.

It already was PS Vita best game. Now it will be one of PS4 best games for sure. The improvements are really dramatic. The crazy thing is Gravity Rush 2 does looks twice as good as this.

Blockstream Raises $55 Million
Big news of the day, the week and of February 2016 so far. My opinion on it is that they trying to do extended platforming from outside Bitcoin to the Bitcoin Blockchain as the business model is a good business model. Given that for that to work out, the incentives still align for making Bitcoin Core better the priority.

However, I do feel the need to point out that from the current Top 30 Bitcoin Core Developers out of 346 contributors so far,  8 work do for Blockstream. But only 1 has commit access. And that the Lead Dev is also not part of Blockstream. So, saying Blockstream steers Bitcoin Core is currently factually and statistically wrong. Which is something being said right now.

Skepticism is healthy as long as it don't turns into emotional paranoia.  The way to proceed is just be alert and rationally inquisitive.
Blockstream has raised $55m in Series A funding, bringing its total capital raised to $76m over two investment rounds.
