5 Awesome Things To Do In Perth This Week!

Spring has sprung in Perth this month. So we have created a list of fun filled activities to do in Perth this week. From Lunar Festivals to Oktoberfest, we have the best things to do in Perth this October!

1. Twilight Markets | Wednesday 4 October
Perth City Farm, East Perth

The Twilight Markets are back for another awesome season, and we couldn’t be more pumped. Get some dinner from the food stalls that have a large focus on organic, vegan and vegetarian food, and go shopping at the collection of local retailers with beauty, household, artisan and crafty items.

2. Oktoberfest In The Gardens | Saturday 7 October
Langley Park, Perth

Oktoberfest in the Gardens features two massive big top beer halls, authentic German food stalls, roving performers, sideshow alley, silent disco and entertainment all day long. Taste your way across the great nation that is Germany with a massive selection of imported German beer, cider and wine. As an added bonus, your ticket includes a commemorative event stein so you can reminisce about all the fun you had.

3. Sunday Music In The Courtyard | Every Sunday in October
Fremantle Arts Centre, Fremantle

As far as we’re concerned, there is no better way to end your weekend than with a trip to the Freo Arts Centre courtyard for free Sunday music. Take a picnic and enjoy free performances by leading local and touring acts

4.Perth Spring Hill Festival | All October Long
Perth Hills

Now in its third year, the Perth Spring Hills Festival will run from Sunday 1 October to Sunday 29 October and will celebrate everything the Perth Hills has to offer. If you're a foodie, there's the Hainault Vineyard Asparagus Lunch, the Masonmill Beer Festival, Carmel Cider Festival, October Feast at the Core Cider House and Kalamunda Night Market to explore.

5. Light The Night | Friday 6 October
University of Western Australia

Light the Night is the Leukaemia Foundation's annual fundraising walk to help more Australians beat blood cancer. Participants receive a coloured lantern to carry as darkness falls, and then embark on an inspiring lantern walk on the UWA campus. Cities across the country and the world simultaneously take part in this event on the 6th October, making it a very meaningful event indeed.
