lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 Jun  1 04:40 /sbin -> usr/bin

And no breakage so far.  Feels kinda odd not having to wonder why binaries are strewn all over the place. Binaries are in /usr/bin and libraries are in /usr/lib.  Wonder how long it'll be until the next major change in this design.

Help Needed  - 
 
I'm having some really early boot issue with 3.9-rc8 and not with 3.9-rc7.  So early that I never get any console output (booting with EFI).  How on earth does one debug such an issue?

My system boot is now bottlenecked at the firmware start-up stage (again).  What a pain.  Do Macs really need to take so long loading the system firmware?

Cool! Don't forget the fluctuation question though. In order to work that one through, you need the expectation value for n squared. That blows everything! The trick above works for n, but no so much for n squared. Time to roll up your sleeves and trudge into sums math again, or maybe not.

Hi +Austin Lund you're right, the distribution of number states is a Poisson distribution.  That might be the basis for the correspondence as well.  I was talking about the recursion relation for Hermitian polynomials and Bessel equations where a product of the argument with a derivative with respect to the argument yields the next function up or down the index ladder.  Not that necessarily makes things any more clear... It's early here.
