We are so excited to share with you that our hard work and strong commitment to the school community has not gone unnoticed. Austin Eco Bilingual School has been selected as one of the best International Baccalaureate Schools in the U.S. by Newseek. The recognition has been astounding and we are thankful for the inclusion in such a prestigious list. I would like to extend our congratulations to the AEBS community.
Our international school promotes the IB philosophy by providing diverse, multicultural experiences to cultivate openness and an appreciation for different cultures. In addition, we have integrated IB curriculum standards based on the Reggio Emilia approach which place a high emphasis on nature and conservation. We believe this prepares children to successfully navigate and function in a multilingual and multicultural world with a high regard for conservation and the preservation of our planet and resources.

Children do not become bilingual “by magic”. There is a persistent myth claiming that “children are like sponges when it comes to language” and that they will learn all languages they hear regularly – this is simply not true. Yes, in the right circumstances children will naturally grow up to acquire the family languages, but this cannot be taken for granted. See more information.

#Theonehundredlanguage
The most well-known aspect about our school is that our program Reggio Emilia Approach is done though visible thinking. The belief that children use many many different ways to show their understanding and express their thoughts and creativity.
