We had a cabin booked for September 2016, for a week. Due to unforeseen circumstances with my husbands job, we had to cancel our stay (we cancelled 3 months early). When booking our stay over the phone, the representative told me that the $77 for travel insurance was to ensure we'd get back all but $77 of our half-down deposit, should we need to cancel for ANY REASON, as long as it was done 30 days before our check-in date. When I called to cancel, I was told we had to cancel through the travel agency. I called the travel agency and was told that they have very specific reasons for getting a full refund when canceling and ours didn't meet any of their 16 reasons. I called Aunt Bug's back and asked for them to refund my money and the representative told me there was nothing she could do. By this point, I was extremely upset with their run-around and told her their contract states that we can cancel for a $120 fee. She placed me on hold for 15 minutes and came back to tell me that they would refund me my deposit, minus the $77 travel insurance fee and their $120 cancellation fee. Their customer service is absolutely terrible, each person I spoke to told me a different policy and their staff is rude and accusatory. Their cabins may be pleasant to stay in, according to some reviews, but I will never book there again, nor will I recommend them to anyone that I know.

We stayed here as a big group for a week in July 2016. It is far from everything. 45" to Pigeon Forge and 45" from Gatlinburg. Made eating out and running into town kind of inconvenient. The house was clean but very tired and worn. Carpeting through out was torn and stained. Stairs going up to game room worn as well. Equipment in the movie room was in old/worn condition. Kitchen was big and they had just about anything you could need there. Washer and dryer were big. Nice house it just needs some updating.

Please see their reviews on their facebook page. This company is horrible! I usually never write bad reviews however this place is horrible! See pictures in the comments for proof! Please, do not book with this company. I wish I would have read these reviews (I only read reviews on their actual website which is completely false advertisement)! Make sure to see the cabin in person before signing anything!!! We are staying in bear Hug #275. From the pictures, we knew there were cabins around, however these cabins are one on top of another. There is no privacy whatsoever in this cabin! It feels like townhomes or condos instead of a mountain getaway. We drove up an overgrown road to get the cabin. We thought we had made a wrong turn because it is so neglected. We arrived to our front door with toilet paper plugging up two holes where an old lockbox had been removed. They told us it had just broken so they didn't have time to fix it, but as I read reviews on here today, that is complete lie. Other reviewers more than a month ago complained of the same thing. The cabin was filthy...you could tell some things had not been cleaned in months! Dust everywhere! My 9 month old was on the floor for 15 minutes and ended up covered in black dirt! There are bugs everywhere, the rugs are stained and disgusting, the couches stained and greasy looking, scratched/broke furniture, scratched floors, leaking toilets, moldy looking stain under the sink, grease from the grill all over the porch, need I say more. This place is horrible! We called Aunt Bugs to see if we could just get our money back and try and find a new place. They said they could not move us because they were booked and they could not give us any discount or refunds because we signed the contract. They offered to clean the cabin...one woman and two kids showed up to clean. The woman spoke little English so telling her our concerns was very difficult. Plus, a lot of the issues are beyond what a cleaning can do. Things need to be replaced! Tim came out to look at the problems. He said he didn't see an issue. He is no help at all and very rude. For people to take a week of work, look forward to a family vacation all year, and then have to be forced to stay in a place that is falsely advertised and disgusting is a shame! Please please please do yourself a favor and never book with them! We will be getting the chambers of commerce, the BBB, and lawyers involved! These people are liars and crooks!

"Bear Hug Cabin" -False advertising, dirty, liars multitude of things wrong. Call an attorney if you stay here to make sure to go over their "contract." This place is a HUGE scam. My 9 month year old was crawling around for 15 mins when we first got here, and she has dirt on her knees. Dead insects everywhere. Greasy couches. No WiFi. Disgusting. Reporting to BBB, Chamber of Commerce among others. Do not stay. I emplore you.

Not at all what was expected or insinuated for our stay. Used Aunt Bug's for our first annual family vacation, with 20 of us total, in July 2016. We were given options of a couple of cabins to choose from and was told we would all be next to one another, surrounding a private pool. We were not next to each other at all and we did not surround the pool. Cabins were not clean (crumbs in recliners, beds looked as if they were napped in before we got there, spills under couch, dusty, dead bat stuck to a flower basket that looked pretty crisp), AC hardly worked and was told to turn it off and check back the next morning to see if it was any better, REALLY, in the July heat??? Thin walls, I could hear the eggs frying through the walls from the people beside us (which was not my family as it was supposed to be) and they partied well after midnight and was not quiet about it at all. From the time of booking the cabin the information was wrong. Wrong cabins booked under wrong names and credit cards. NOT worth the amount of money paid to stay, and NOT the MOUNTAIN ESCAPE I was expecting at all. RUDE customer service. Many Many things wrong with these cabins.... Really disappoineted!

Doesn't get better than this!!! 3 story, 3 bdrm, 3 bath, log cabin with our own hot tub, just a mile off the Parkway. Cozy! Clean! Small development with community pool too. The customer service is awesome too! We will be back!

Our cabin - Eagle's View - was filthy when we arrived. The on call staff, answering service, and "management" were all extremely rude. The cleaning staff that showed up the following day (who unloaded the dishwasher and wiped the table - that's it) informed us that this cabin was recently acquired by Aunt Bug's and had not had a deep clean. Disgusting. The "management" staff offered to send a crew to deep clean the cabin DURING OUR STAY. Nope. That's definitely something you need to do before your guests check in. We were offered a free future night's stay, which is a joke as none of us will ever rent from Aunt Bug's again. Avoid.

Customer service was horrible. We arrived early on Saturday and was able to check into our cabin early however wasn't able to use to pool until Monday. There was debri, trash and broken chairs in the pool area along with lots of trash in the pool itself. We called several times but no one showed up until Monday. Hot tub area was so small there was no room for the cover to be removed so it had to be propped on the side of the hot tub which meant there was only room for two adults in the hot tub. Outside light and plug in did not work, there was also no working lighting on the steps that led up to the cabin, hand rail was very unstable and loose. TV cable kept going out on the living room tv. It was advertised as having 3 TVs but only had 2. Also it was very weedy around the cabin and looked as if the trash needed to be removed from behind the cabin. There was an actual vine coming thru the ceiling upstairs (round up could definitely be a plus). This is a beautiful cabin however the maintenance is definitely not up to standard. Inside and outside could use some TLC for sure!
