Samsung's Backup Memory, an innovative app designed to help Alzheimer's patients train their memory. A great concept that highlights the relevance of technology in improving people's lives in sometimes unexpected ways.

You might shed a tear or two.

When is an advertising campaign going too far? Salta Beer gets a step closer to redefining what ridiculous means when it comes to branding. Might make you feel a bit sick too.

Standing desks are not a new thing, and the reasons behind why they're gaining traction are slowly becoming well known. This insightful article by +Fast Company summarises the science that backs the trend. A great read.

Story
Introduction
I'm all over the place, which is probably not good. I have a film degree but do graphic design; I've edited videos for the past 7 years; I love drawing and am rapidly getting into graffiti art; I've used a video camera for many years and am now learning how to properly use a photo one; I've seen myself doing SFX make-up...

The one thing I'm really good at though is whistling.

Ok food, good service, nothing here is especially noteworthy though, and the menu is fairly ordinary. The main reason I come here is for fresh coconuts, not that easy to find in the city.

Get ready to be treated like a piece of sh*t. As if being overcrowded and filthy wasn't enough, the staff (and the owners, who are there serving too) are the rudest I've ever come across of. They'll yell at you, mix you up with people in tiny tables to make the most out of it, and do everything they can to get you to leave as soon as possible so you can vacate the tables. I used to love this place, but the two or three last experiences I had there were so bad, I would never go back.

Whether you're a local or a visitor, the Botanic Gardens is one of the most impressive, beautiful and relaxing places you'll find in Melbourne. Perfect for a wander, picnic with friends or family or some me-time with a book.

What a disappointment this place is. Positive: - Location. I've never been to an amusement park built this way: on top (and over both sides) of a mountain. Riding a rollercoaster is a completely different experience when you have such incredible views (and you're literally hanging off the side of a cliff). - The aquarium is quite beautiful, and massive too. Negative: - Questionable functioning. We went on low season, and so not only most stores would be closed (most food places would be shut down, be sure to carry a water bottle with you just in case), but also some pretty important rides too. At least two feature rides were fully closed. - Weird schedules. The park opens at 10am, but everything within it opens at 11am. So if it's a hot day, you can either walk or line up in the scorching sun without much purpose. - The most flagrant, stomach turning green washing I've ever seen: you'll find signage EVERYWHERE about how much they care about the planet and the environment and conservation, but then you'll see dolphins secluded in tiny pools, or you'll struggle to find a water fountain where to refill your bottle (we only found one in the whole park, and it was pretty much hidden in a corner). On top of that, all the pictures taken on rides are printed, whether you decide to buy them or not. All in all, an underwhelming experience. I wouldn't go back, and wouldn't recommend it either.
