Your elbow is not just for attacking (e.g., head hunting) but also clearing and controlling. As a short limb weapon, it is useful in near distances. Here are two ways to handle a block πŸ›‘ If the block is closer to your elbow (proximal forearm) then open out laterally. If the block is closer to your wrist (distal forearm) then close in medially. Follow with with corresponding strike...βœ‹πŸΌπŸ€šπŸΌ Simple, right? But only easy after long training.🀨... Also, remember that sequences or flows (e.g., Lat Sao 甩手) are like words strung together into an articulate sentence. Good but not enough... You must memorize them as well as break them down into their constituent applications! 😱 Thanks to Sihing Ayron Johnson from @atlantawingchun for helping me teach πŸ™πŸΌ #application #elbow #control #strike #free #attack #defense #ccq #martialarts #wingchun #flow #sifu #combat #training #latsao See More
