In New York state 3rd party candidates has always been disadvantaged by its archaic primaries system. But It's good the process has been more exposed than ever before. Let's see what the future brings.

Ok I just read your article. Why are you debating so much??? Though I can sympathize that you live in a state that's so into believing in God, the bottom line is: God doesn't exist. Truly. Period.

Who cares what theists think? Some people simply can't be dragged away from their ignorance.

Sad to see atheism treated like a religion. I didn't used to have to apologise for atheists but this last decade, it is becoming more and more frequent.

I used to apologise for the USA until I renounced my citizenship. I guess I have to renounced atheism-- make up my own name for my beliefs

And the right needs to recognise that Islamic fundamentalism is right wing.

As much as I would like to see them unpaid there is a valid use for them. They do go to major situations where people are emotional distraught. Those that seek religious comfort need that. Those that don't they don't bother with ( at least here locally in central Texas).

It's nice to think counseling is available but reality is it is not for most people and specially at the height of the crisis like a fatal car accident.

Breaking free from irrational belief and opposing Christian extremism
Introduction
The United States is caught in the grasp of widespread religious delusion and Christian privilege. Social norms discourage even mild criticism of religious belief, and nonbelievers are demonized.

We need a revolution of the mind, a new era of Enlightenment when the shackles of faith are thrown off and reason is once again valued. For me, it is not about eradicating religious belief but about showing people that it is unnecessary, irrational, and destructive. We need an atheist revolution.
