Fancy something new to play?
Of course you do! Clickety Click to find out more...
Marko Latvanen, of AtariMania, kindly sent me a game developed by Tangram programmer, Mark Luthe, for German magazine ST Magazin. Grap first appears a Tempest clone but is actually the tough puzzler which I'm sure will appeal...

He's back!!
Well, no he's not but its pretty darn close ;^)
Today we rewind the clocks all the way to 1982 for a skiing adventure with the odd looking 8-bit hero, Horace. Not wanting to upset Psion, he changed his name to Harris for his Atari ST appearance, all thanks to a couple of b...

One of my favourite games. Got it free with my first ST back in the day. Happy memories! :) Cheats within also.
Nebulus was released in 1988 by Hewson and features an armed frog with big eyes - Pogo - who doesn't seem too excited by the thought of eight sea-based towers. He considers it his personal mission to climb 'em and blow 'em up...

Probably my very last posting for AtariCrypt this year. But it's a good one. A brand new music disk by Peter Jorgensen and it's brilliant too. Enjoy!
I'm going to end 2016 with a brand new release by a good friend of mine - Bionic Nerd - aka Peter Jørgensen. Outrun New Year Music Demo has just been released and I've recorded a few seconds of each track as a little teaser f...

+Mark Miller Hmm not sure. It might have been nice to see a flight sim use the blitter in someway, perhaps things might have been even better. But, as you can see, these Falcon games did come on on the ST :) Perhaps it was something "next-gen" in 1992+ when the PC really had begun to take over?

Found this old dog today ... not played it since I was a Spectrum owner!
I stumbled upon Head Over Heels by pure chance today. It's been donkey's years since I last played this on my old ZX Spectrum and seeing it again is a heartwarming reminder of the 8-bit scene. However, I shockingly cannot rem...

A game I missed back in the late 90s... probably because I sold up and bought myself a Mac! What a great game this is, even unfinished.
In 1997 a rather fed up Ed Cleveland had spent many moons working on comedy adventure, Donkey Island. However, the latter end of the 90s were bitterly cold days with most of us having sold up and moved on, so it appears he go...

yeah a Blitter can be used on all but the first STs, as far as I'm aware... Anything GEM related makes instant use but games will require programming specifically to use it. Here are some listed but i think it's incomplete (and more STe orientated) : http://atari.8bitchip.info/steandg.html

I love West Texas.. the desert, the barren landscapes, the lifestyles... beautiful. Then we found this belting little ghost town!! Completed the road trip for me. Nothing here but a railroad and a church that I believe is still in operation? Perhaps for the remote local communities all around here? Who knows but we was the only ones around for miles. Good stuff.
