Associa has been a nightmare. The phone numbers listed on my invoice are disconnected. When I've tried to call Associa I can never get a live person. I've called their Atlanta Office, their Dallas Office and their Ft Collins Office. I've left messages on their website. Still not a word from them. I mailed my annual dues on 1-26. I am still receiving late notices and the latest included a threat of a lein on my property. Why pay for a homeowners association when there actually isn't one? All they want is dues. I've owned my property over 4 years and have over a half mile of road that has not been graded since before I bought it.

Me and my wife bought our first family home in Summer 2012. We never received a single bill from the HOA so we always thought the escrow account is paying the HOA duties. In early May 2014 I received a letter from a collection agency about a huge debt that we're supposedly owe the HOA. I found the HOA phone number (it lead me to Associa / Principal Management Group) and they said they had a wrong address in my profile, but nevertheless now I have to speak with the collector on how I'm going to pay my debt. Since May 2014 I was talking to the collector and still didn't receive a resolution. I've sent the collector a check for the amount I really owe the HOA with a copy to Associa and but was told by the collector they can't accept the check without talking to the HOA, and it takes many months to receive an answer. So I never received my $1080 check back and their web site still shows that I owe $2300+. That's a pure rip off! That's not my fault an HOA employee has written a wrong address for me. I'm a law abiding citizen and I always pay my bills in time, but how am I supposed to know if I need to pay without receiving a bill? Why should I pay for somebody else fault? I'm trying to figure out this problem with the collector since May 2014 and the case didn't budge an inch because the HOA via Associa / Principal Management Group doesn't respond to the collector.

This is the most worthless "property management" I've ever dealt with. These crooks steal $216 per year from every home in my community and they do not use a single dime of it to enhance or maintain the property value of my neighborhood. Bill Chance is the rudest, smug bastard i've ever spoken to in my life. I wish there was a local office so that I could visit Miss Chance and see if he is as tough in person as he acts on the phone.

There is something seriously wrong with this group. They don't appear to be following the guidelines of the HOA contract in discussions with other neighbors in their inspections of the properties. Letters on basketball hoops that are already cemented into the ground that have not moved, Christmas lights that they say should be down but according to the HOA agreement can be up until 30 days after the festivities. Is someone new performing inspections? Quite a few neighbors are not happy. Things like this don't make living in a community "managed" by this group worth it. I really don't recommend this group to anyone.

I been working here for two years now, and let me tell you this company is a joke no benefits what so ever, and low pay, you can get fired any minute.. If you are a homeowner that lives in HOA managed by this company, good look. This company is going bankrupt as its losing to many associations. Nobody does any work here at the office and by the way if you get a reply message back its an machine.

Hands down the worst HOA management company i've dealt with.... Unable to deposit checks that are sent in a week before due dates which eventually lead to late fees that was promised to be removed months ago and I'm still getting letters with a balance. Property manager never does walk throughs of the property. Never get a response to the multiple voice mails I leave, i have to just keep calling until I get someone. Luckily for me I live in an area where my property values have gone up and i'm selling come spring. As a business management major i'm astonished they are still in business.... DO NOT use this company...

Reading over the prior posted reviews, it it apparent that Associa is at least consistent. "It" claims to be a property Management Company, yet they do little more than collect dues owed and subtract their substantial fees. I've had the pleasure of dealing with the property manager(s) (numerous) and corporate managers from their Texas office. In these dealings the only action that they responded to was a result of numerous Home owners contacting them continuously, consistently and presenting the grounds for legal action. IMHO, Associa has a business plan and an interest in maintaining the status qua, pointing fingers at other entities and secrecy. Another telling trait is the cut an paste responses to the reviews posted below. Tell us again Associa, how much you care about customer service... Please... tell us....

I'm on the architectural committee of my neighborhood and interact with the community manager quite often. I have lived in many different HOAs, managed by competing firms, and Associa is, by far, the best management company I've ever worked with. If any of my neighbors are angry about something, they blame Associa, but the reality is that Associa is simply trying to carry out the wishes of the board, and the board is trying to uphold the by-laws of our community. Most people don't understand that the policies they fight against aren't Associa's policies, they're the policies of our own HOA. They do a good job in a thankless industry.
