Thanks to Aspiring Adventures guide extraordinaire, Luis, for this cool photo of Machu Picchu. Love it!

Luis started guiding with us back in 2012, so this is now his fifth season, and this year he has already led five trips so far, along with being the host of one of our Aspiring Inca events. Every trip he is a part of receives outstanding reviews, which is a remarkable feat!

You rock Luis! We thank you for your passion for Peru, your energy and your care for Aspiring guests, and for being a loyal and proud member of our team. Thank you for being you!

A very happy birthday to Rhiana, our Peru operations coordinator, and to Katy, our co-founder!

Both are in Cusco celebrating with family and friends while balancing their time during our busiest time of the year. Thank you Rhiana and Katy for all you do. You are inspirational!

Some footage from the central day of the 2016 Paucartambo festival!

The statue of the Virgin Carmen is paraded through the main street and over the bridge surrounded by hundreds of revellers - including our Aspiring Adventures guests. To Carolyn, Scott, Jessica, Janet, Andrea, Paula, Luis, Katy and Nina - I hope you're having a fabulous time!

Later on the same day, the most amazing fireworks display I've ever witnessed takes place in the main plaza - you've gotta see it to believe it. Join us next July to check out this incredible festival!

We're super proud of Luis, one of our Peru guides, for putting together this video about Peruvian music and culture, subjects very dear to his heart. Keep the vids coming Luis, this is amazing stuff and thank you for sharing!

In this video Luis takes part in Aya Marqay Killa (Quechua for "Day of the Dead") which is held on November 1st each year throughout Peru, where people visit their local cemeteries to be with their loved ones.

We love scenic rides from Peru's high Andes down to the Amazon jungle on our mountain bikes, but you've gotta check out this vid of Danny MacAskill riding through the concrete jungle of the Canary Islands - it's really something else:
