We're having fun under the black lights in the 300 Club at Lava Lanes Bend! Thanks to Larry for helping us carry all our shoes. And a shout out to Bill who bowled 103! He went in talking big game and he delivered with the high score!

We are so grateful and proud of our incredible care staff team at Aspen Ridge Memory Care. Today, we welcome two new caregivers to our team, Cynthia and Rylee. In her interview, Cynthia said she's excited to pursue a career in a field where the work is meaningful and she can make a difference. Rylee said her strengths include patience, communication, and a passion for learning. We're fortunate to have these two on our team and are excited for their positive impact in our Community.

Our #ALZAboutTown campaign intends to raise awareness for Alzheimer's/Dementia and to reinforce connections between individuals living with dementia and their communities. William "Bill" served as a principal in the Klamath County School District for 30 years. Bill received a BA and MA in Psychology after studying at Sacramento State College and Humboldt State University. Bill's daughter, Sara, continues the family tradition of excellence in education as a teacher at Elk Meadow Elementary of Bend-La Pine Schools. We went with Bill to visit Sara at Elk Meadow and captured these images. The stuffed moose pictured was given to Bill by a colleague when he first became a principal. Bill passed along that moose to Sara which now lives in her office. We celebrate the educational contributions of Bill and Sara to our society and are happy to have them and their family in our community at Aspen Ridge Memory Care! Thank you to the students from Mountain View HS Jazz Choir who visited us to share their rendition of "Be My Little Baby" for #ValentinesDay. They were such a hit, residents asked for an encore performance! #FrontierCulture.

When it comes to installing a television in our conference room, there's no one better for the job than Environmental Services Director Mel & resident Ells. The two of them are an excellent team! #FrontierCulture #inBend.

Our #ALZAboutTown campaign intends to raise awareness for Alzheimer's/Dementia and to reinforce connections between individuals living with dementia and their communities. Elsworth (Els) Wright joined Bend Millwork Systems in 1972 as Superintendent. His passion for productivity and dedication to development resulted in growth from 1,400 employees, when he began, to over 30,000 employees when Els retired 24 years later. Bend Millwork Systems was eventually purchased by JELD-WEN Windows & Doors. Our Life Enrichment Coordinator, Catie M Hanratty, and photographer, Michelle Bauer Photography LLC, captured these images from Els' day back "on the job." We are grateful to have Els at Aspen Ridge Memory Care and so appreciate his help with productivity and development now in our community!
