A good Blog and website for applied neuroscience of golf can be found at
www.goalogolf.com
I do Ted style talks on the neuroscience of golf for groups and consult with high-level players looking to take the next level of analysis and neuroscience to their games for the extra 0.5 stroke gained per round that will make ALL the difference.

Cheers!

Very nice data visualization explaining the concepts underlying machine learning (at least at a first-pass decision tree based model)

Love to get this message... After an 80 yesterday at Stanford golf course. Look forward to the time when posting 80 no longer draws that alert...

Testament to the power of analytics and neuroscience applied to practice.

A 2010 Economist article suggested we were at several zettabytes of extant digital information...  ie 10^21.

http://www.economist.com/node/15557421

We must be well past 100 X's this number today I suspect but probably not quite yet at a yottabyte (10^24)...  Anyone know this answer currently? Wolfram alpha doesn't parse the query and google gives Lesk's approximation from 1997.

http://www.lesk.com/mlesk/ksg97/ksg.html

But let's say based on the economist article and mildly wild extrapolation that this puts us around Avogadro's number (6.022X10^23) of bytes.

So you see what I did there?  I made a a mountain (of information) into a mole (hill) ...

Amen to this.  Scary that a publisher can just circumvent the author.

My thesis advisor giving a very high production value series of talks through ibiology.org  that highlight the work of the lab from when I was a graduate student on through the present day.  It is partly surprising and partly expected I suppose how pervasive and important circadian rhythms are for the molecular workings of the entire body.
It was great fun and a source of pride to be part of the incipient discoveries of the lab.
