Here's the deal with the "qfuse" nonsense on the Nexus 6P that you've been hearing so much about. Unlocking the bootloader does nothing to the "Qfuse status: ENABLED" flag. It comes stock saying "enabled" and stays enabled after unlocking.
The fastboot oem unlock
is no more on new bootloaders and fastboot btw. It's now split into fastboot flashing unlock
and fastboot flashing unlock_critical
Neither of them do anything with Qfuse status, and in fact this comment by Autoprime also indicates that Qfuse status has nothing to do with unlocking the bootloader https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/3phaw6/nexus_6p_has_a_hardware_fuse_that_blows/cw6k68e
It's a freaking Nexus. Don't be afraid to unlock the bootloader because false hype was created by someone who didn't know what they were talking about.
