I figure that in a community with nearly 400k members, there must be some fans of The Killers here?

It's been just over ten years since their second album, Sam's Town, was released. This album was a seminal moment for my music taste, and I do rate it above their first album, Hot Fuss.

I wrote a blog post about it (below), and would be interested to hear any other views!

Some good news in light of the recent droughts in sub-Saharan Africa. Irrigation infrastructure is getting better and more widespread. As this situation improves, farmers can become more resilient in dealing with the pressures of climate change.

Here's my Africa Sundays blog post:

Hello!

I'm not an African, but I as someone very interested in the development of your continent I write a blog post every Sunday called 'Africa Sundays' (imaginative, I know).

This is my latest post on irrigation and food security (link below), but other topics include politics in Zimbabwe, and development across sub-Saharan Africa.

If it's okay, I will post my Africa Sundays posts here each week!

In addition to some of the more personal posts I publish, every Sunday I post an 'Africa Sundays' post on news from somewhere on the continent, in line with my interest in African politics and development.

This is my latest post on irrigation in Africa. A pertinent issue given recent droughts there

Do read and comment even if you've not read much about this topic before!

Take a look at my new blog post on having to come out as gay (again) each time I enter a new group of people. A common problem for many, but often a very awkward one!
