"One of the important distinctions of Ashcreek Ranch Academy is that our program is owned and operated by people who started the program and are involved with it every single day. Tammy and Darren opened Ashcreek Ranch in 2012, and not a day goes by where they are not involved with the success and care of the young men who join us.

We believe this owner / operator model creates a safer, more successful therapeutic program due to the ownership being more in-tuned to how the program is working on a daily basis."

"The power of Ashcreek Ranch Academy lies in our ability to teach and transform through actions, not just words. Our setting guarantees that young men don’t just “float through” therapy once they’ve learned the right things to say. They must apply themselves here, physically and mentally."

"Family involvement at Ashcreek is paramount. We want to make sure parents are a major part of the healing process. We encourage calls and check-ins from parents, but more important than putting this all on the parents we structure our program to make participation simple."

"Unfortunately, in the modern world there are increasingly few opportunities for boys to get the support and have the experiences they need to develop the character they need. This is where our program at Ashcreek Ranch Academy comes in. We seek to help every troubled boy who stays with us develop as a person and gain the skills they need to thrive when they return home."

"Our goal is to provide our young men the opportunity to grow in all aspects—strengthen values, improve motivation, enhance academic performance, and build healthier, happier relationships.

We have built a Day at Ashcreek Ranch Academy that provides structure while balancing the needs of our students for variety. Some of our students are more tactile, many require more experiential, and all need movement to keep the mind and body fresh and engaged."

"The activities for children today are almost completely consumed by technology. While there’s not been much reason to believe that the use of technology in activities for children could result in any consequences, recent research suggests otherwise. An article by PsyBlog states that recent research has found that dynamic activities for children can boost working memory by 50 percent."

"Bullies are not the huge, menacing figures most people imagine them to be. They can be the pretty, popular girl or the unassuming theatre geek. Teen bullying in schools is just as prevalent as it has ever been. According to the National Center for Educational Statistics, nearly one in four students reported being bullied during the 2014-2015 school year. That’s a huge problem, considering how much schools have been actively involved in preventing bullying in the past few years."

"The Academic Program at Ashcreek Ranch Academy is fully accredited by AdvancED, a national accrediting body with high standards for academic excellence.

Unlike other therapeutic boarding schools, students are taught in a small classroom setting by fully certified teachers. While we offer the core traditional school subjects and elective options like music and art, our academic curriculum also includes a strong experiential component. Based on research and our decades of experience, this “hands on” learning is incredibly important for our young men, and particularly useful for those who learn by doing, not by sitting in a classroom."
