Ceramic tiles were hand painted and kiln fired for a custom design. The painting is in a blue and gold motif with an ornate European floral, pottery design as the focal point. The style is in a French Baroque, rococo. The mural was beautifully installed on matching gold colored field tiles set on the diagonal with additional harlequin border tiles. This painting was installed in a steam shower.

A bedroom wall mural I painted for my two boys when they were very young about twenty years ago. Some prehistoric scenes decorative painting along with portraits of reptiles, dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus Rex, Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus, Pterodactyl and others I don't remember. This was big stuff when my boys were little! Ha Ha

Came across a fantastic artist, Stephanie Campos. Most of the portraits are of Native Americans hand drawn in charcoal. Fantastic artisanship!.
I love drawing faces. I used to paint with oils and acrylics, but then I discovered charcoal and found I preferred its properties and results in the varying range of degrees between shadows and...

A wall mural, trompe-loeil decorative painting with a loose, folk art style as requested by the client. She wanted something bright and cheerful, with a rooster, big flowers and garden produce. I painted this back in 2001.

A female humpback whale had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth.
A fisherman spotted her just east of the Faralon Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so badly off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her…. a very dangerous proposition. One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer.
They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.
When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, nudged them, and pushed gently, thanking them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.
The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the whole time, and he will never be the same
.
May you be so fortunate … To be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you.
And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude.

I found these wonderful hand made and hand painted porcelain dolls from a Russian artist. A Ukiyo-e style scene of a loving couple playing a samisen together. Very sweet. Fantastic artisanship.
